I reached out to Acton Toyota about the purchase of a new Rav4 Hybrid and ended up emailing and chatting on the phone with Justin who was very polite and thorough and informative about their inventory. He said that one specific Rav4 was available and we setup an appointment to come in to see it and also so they could do a proper appraisal on our Jeep trade in. When we arrived we met Tom and they had the Rav4 pulled up and ready and we took it for a quick test drive. When we returned, they started the appraisal process and we began briefly discussing numbers etc. They said they had to contact Chrysler to get that exact payoff number and after waiting almost an hour, Tom came up to us and said that they were unable to get that number and also that the Rav4 we drove and started negotiating on was actually sold earlier in the day. So they allowed us to drive a vehicle that had already been sold. Tom says he will call us on that Fri and we can discuss numbers etc. When we went to leave, we had to ask for our keys back because he never returned them to us. He never called so then I reached out Sat and they still didnt have that payoff number! I asked about a RAV4 they had listed online and he said we would go verify it was still in and no reply again after that. I find it to be unbelievable that a person trying to buy a brand new vehicle has to keep reaching out instead of the sales person so we decided to look elsewhere. We then met a different dealer and then they went to do an appraisal on our Jeep I realized that I did not have our registration BECAUSE TOM NEVER RETURNED OUR REGISTRATION TO US. So I again email Tom and he claimed he remembered giving it back to us but he will check in a few hours when he is back at the office. And once again, no follow up or reply from Tom yet again. Next call tomorrow when they are open will be to the manager because we need our registration and we are not paying to get a duplicate because of the carelessness of the dealership. More

Great sales acumen and support from Shawn Gormley. He delivered and communicated and I bought the vehicle because of him, even knowing I was paying about $1000 more than I needed to. He found a truck tha delivered and communicated and I bought the vehicle because of him, even knowing I was paying about $1000 more than I needed to. He found a truck that no other dealer in the state was able to secure for me. All that great work by Shawn was punctuated by a vehicle delivery that was amateurish and unprofessionally weak. The problems we had were: 1) did not provide a second set of keys and could not find them 2) the bed of the truck was dirty with dust and water stains 3) I have never picked up a new car without someone providing a quick tutorial on everything in the car before I drove off the lot 4) My son and I were required to sit in a small office with the finance person, a closed small space and he spoke to us for 15 minutes trying to sell us without his mask over his nose 5) The pick up process took 2 full hours, longer than and of the dozen or so new cars I bought in my adult life. The entire dealership looked frenzied and unprepared to handle customers that are spending tens of thousands of dollars that day and who represent future service business. A very disappointing end to the purchase process that went super well while we were dealing directly with Shawn. More

I worked with Jon and Tom Downing. Tom was great, he had the vehicle ready for me to test drive when I got to the dealership. I test drove it, and checked it out.
