With over 20 years in the retail automotive business, I have a vast knowledge of overall service and repairs for both Import and Domestic vehicle makes. Prior to the service industry, I was a Corrections Officer in the State of Nevada and also was a Quality Control Lieutenant for a Private Security company in charge of of both property patrols and armed alarm response for both business and residential clients. Manly Honda: “Don’t worry, we don’t break cars intentionally. And when we do, everything that results is a mere side effect.” On 1/14/22, I took my Fit to have the stop/start button replaced (wa intentionally. And when we do, everything that results is a mere side effect.” On 1/14/22, I took my Fit to have the stop/start button replaced (warranty.) During that process, the heater cable was broken. OK, raise your hand if you didn’t use your car heater or defroster in the past 3 weeks, with temperatures dropping to the 30s every night. It’s been brutal, especially because I have medical conditions that are exacerbated by the cold. So here’s the email I got from the service manager, Zach: "I’m sorry that the heater cable was damaged during your visit. I assure you it wasn’t intentional, but merely a side effect attempting to expedite your repair." So it’s a mere side effect that I have to bundle up and wear gloves if I drive for much of the day - it’s 45 degrees at 10:30 am while I write this. It’s a mere side effect that I often need pain medication after I drive in my cold car. It’s a mere side effect that I can’t pick up my medically fragile disabled sister, because she couldn’t stand the cold. Thanks, Zach. I feel so much better, knowing that your technician didn’t set out to break my heater, and that all the inconvenience, physical discomfort and loss of family contact is just due to a mere side effect. More

Edit: I was able to bring the vehicle back in and they’ve given me a loaner while they run further tests to keep us safe and I greatly appreciate them taking safety serious, it is BEYOND awesome. I brought my car in because it kept shifting into neutral, it’s happened 2 times since I’ve brought it in. You guys said you did a detailed inspection and essentially said you can see when it shifts and it wasn’t happening. Okay that’s fine, Honda would rather me sustain life threatening injuries or worse due to negligence. I live on a main road and my car will shift into neutral as I’m driving away nearly causing an accident multiple times now. More
