This is a LONG overdue shout out to Lisette Figueroa and the technician who replaced my car’s battery. On the afternoon of Friday, DEC 8, 2023, in horrible LA traffic, I drove to Lexus South Bay, and made it there pretty close to closing time. I had had numerous AAA jump starts because my car would not start without them, so I desperately needed a battery. I was also distraught because my mom was gravely ill, so I had to get back to West LA where she was hospitalized in order to be by her side. Because it was so late when I arrived, the guy who greeted me told me I’d probably have to come back another day. But I really needed the battery replaced so I asked to speak to the service advisor on duty. That young lady was Lisette. In short, after hearing my plea, she called a technician and very nicely asked if he would work longer (on a Friday no less) to install my battery. He agreed and I was beyond grateful! Because the battery was under warranty, Lisette told me it would take about an hour. While there, I shared with Lizette that my mom was really ill and she listened intently. She was compassionate and comforting which helped to put me at ease. I then sat in the waiting room but about 25 minutes later, I became anxious and decided I’d better leave and get back to my mom. I informed Lisette that I’d leave the car and catch an Uber back to the hospital. But she gently stopped me and told me not to go because my car was just about finished! Five minutes later, I was in my car, completely relieved, and headed back to the hospital. I know my review is long and not typical, but I just wanted Lisette and the Lexus team to know how much I appreciate her going the extra mile for me on that Friday night back in DEC 2023. She could have rightly informed me that I arrived too late and my car could not be serviced, but she did not. Instead, she made sure that my car was in working order when I left. This thoughtful gesture meant even more to me because of my mom’s grave condition (she passed away 3 days later) and my fragile mental state. So thank you, Lisette, for your outstanding customer service, stellar support, and kind disposition! You exemplify the qualities and people skills that many of us should strive for! Lori R.

I have had a very bad experience at the Service Department of Riverside Lexus. I wanted to download the newest version of navigation data on my 2013 RX350. They ordered the chip and made an appointment to fix the problem in about two hours. I took the car there and after waiting about two hours, they discovered that they needed additional hardware to download the new data (they didn’t know it before making the appointment?). They made another appointment, and after a few days, I took the car there again. This time it took about three hours to finish the job. They said that the latest info covers navigational data up to 2019. In the presence of their associate, I entered the address of a hotel built in 2018, but it didn’t show up. He tried, the result was the same. I had paid $470 (after a discount of $81) for an update which was not functioning. I asked for a return, and he (who was very polite and friendly) took me to the managers. Four people were in the manager’s office, and the manager told me that they were not responsible for the navigation data! I said here is Lexus dealership and you installed Lexus latest navigation data of 2019 and you are not responsible? He said that they cannot remove the new part, but I have to pay for the labor! The part was about $160 and I had to pay about $310 for nothing! I refused and they finally returned the money. The ugliest thing was the lack of this simple word “Sorry” in the manager’s vocabulary. I had spent 5 hours for their nonfunctional service and they didn’t acknowledge their fault!

I bought a lexus tire protection warranty in 2022, because they scammed me by telling me that all I had to have was my tire thread at 4/32 and tell their service tech that I had a nail in my tires and the warranty would cover it. When I took my car for service the Service rep Tony said that he cannot do that because that would cause the third party that is in charge of the warranty ask for pictures and proof, or even sent an Investigator to them. So they where not concern about their practices, Tony was more concerned about getting caught scamming the warranty they sold me by scamming me and lying to me. Tony then told me I could put a nail in one tire at a time in a 30 day time frame so it would not raise suspicion and they wouldn't have to send proof. When j spoke with Tony's supervisor she said we can try that but if the Warranty department asked for proof I could still end up paying for the tires. Why is this dealership allowed to operate with such dishonest practices. They are robbing me 2 ways, one by charging me for the warranty and the other by telling me it's covered by Warranty when it's not they are just scamming you. Don't do buissness with these crooks and thiefs.
