Because I do not drive very much anymore, my sales representative, Nick, suggested that I get my first service done after six months instead of waiting until the odometer reached the point where service would be required.
I knew that my first service was complimentary, so I drove back to Airport Marina Honda. My service advisor, Manny, was quite sure that waiting for the vehicle would not be a problem since they weren’t very busy.
I went into a comfortable customer lounge inside the showroom and worked on some sewing while I waited. The work was completed very quickly, I received my paperwork, and drove home.
I explained to Manny that for anything other than just an oil change, I would probably revert back to Scott Robinson Honda in Torrance for my service because I live in Redondo Beach and can get back-and-forth to that dealership’s service department by taking a direct bus that has stops just one block from home.
I enjoyed seeing the video of the undercarriage and engine compartment (glad my filters were still clean). Polite, no-nonsense service department personnel were a pleasure to experience. Sure wish it were more concentrated to have ALL my service done here!
