On the way to the dealership I requested to have the X5 on the service lift with good lighting so I could inspect it.

Conveniently when I arrived the lift was not available and the only way of inspecting the vehicle was under the poor lighting of the dealership parking lot. I should have walked away at this point but I did my best to inspect the truck and trusted the comments of the salespeople. After making the deal and bringing the truck home and in daylight the following morning I noticed the driver door was obviously dinged and dented really bad which turns out was a previous paintless dent repair which should have never been done with paintless repair. My estimate from my local dealership was $1200. While I understand I missed this during my inspection you cannot tell me they didn't know about the previous damage. The amount I agreed to pay was for a clean condition truck. I politely explained to Chris how I felt and told him I did not expect the dealership to pay for all of the damages but that they should step up and do the right thing and at least pay for some of it.

After about a week of calling the dealership he checked with the General Manager Majid and I was denied completely. Now I have $1200 of body repair to deal with. It's unfortunate because I am otherwise satisfied with the truck and would have rather given good comments instead of bad.
