I recently purchased a Lexus from Champion Auto. I love this car!!! It not only looks brand new; it drives like a brand new car. I had been going to different dealerships and had no luck and dealt with sales people who were not interested in helping me, especially the dealership down the road where I bought my previous car. This definitely was not the case at Champion. My sales person was John and he made this experience enjoyable and at put me as ease. John went above and beyond to help me get the car of my dreams... and the rest of the staff at Champion were extremely friendly and helpful and took the time and effort to work with me. I recently stopped into 44 Automart where a was looking for a nice used SUV I meet a salesmen name Tommy Gray he was very helpful and full of Info!! Tommy showed me 3 to 4 Suvs I was looking for a full-size Suv I look at the Tahoe a Yukon and a Escalade, Tommy was helpful in all three and for once I actually Valued and trusted his opinion!! I was lost I didn't know which one I like the most so Tommy ask me what I really need after I told him he said honestly I don't think you need the Escalade its the most expensive and just like the other ones (I was shocked he didn't want to sell me the expensive one!!) After about a hour and half of test driving all three I decided that I wanted the Yukon it was in my budget and Tommy didn't try to upscale me something out of my budget! So then we went inside and started to work a the numbers Tommy was very helpful thru the whole process!! I got exactly what I wanted cheaper then what I wanted which was awesome!! I will go back to Tommy and sent all my friends and family to Tommy he was great and very helpful!!! Give him a call if you need a good car and want to work with someone honest!!

The worst Person ever sitting behind a Desk Dare Not call him a TRUE salesman HERMAN WESLEY We came from Atlanta to Lexington only to find the car dirty and needing repair in less than 5 hours after we took possession of course we contacted the dealership and basicaly was told that this was our problem. Kenny and Josh act like they care but it is just a FACADE. Do yourself a favor and GOOGLE DRIVE TIME AND THEIR Warranty AVEREX before going in . To present we have not heard a word from Drive Time In Lexington once you leave this dealership you are nothing to these people just a sale. I Think we all can find 22% interest any where so they are doing nothing special what they don't tell you is that there is no inspection as they advertise and the warranty company will take their time getting to the repair shop to inspect your vehicle while they figure out whats covered and then the process goes as follows the inspector whom has DT interest at heart types up a report sends in to AVEREX they look at it at some point and then hopefully approve it meanwhile you are out of a Vehicle . All while they are saying we offer rental reimbursement at 25.99 a day so now you are out of money until whenever they decide to pay this back to you. Again Stay away from any Dealership where after you walk out of the door you nothing. HERMAN WESLEY

Car was advertised to have satellite radio which costs $500 and it doesn't have it. It's not as though when you pick up a car you can know if satellite radio is installed because it has to be activated. I trusted that the list of features was correct. I called Stacey and she told me that they can't keep adding options to the car. Seriously? I am asking for them to honor their written word not add new features.

This car lot rips people off all the time. They know the cars have problems before they go on the lot. There have been many instances where a transmission is going out and they say just put it on the lot and when someone buys it we will just add the repair to their loan so we don't have to fix it. They are legally supposed to sell repos at auction but nobody is allowed to go to this supposed auction or see the vehicles they are supposed to be bidding on. So what they do is bid the car back in for a few hundred dollars then get a repo title and put the car back on the lot for sale and then sue the customer. If anybody goes to these fake auctions they will be told it is a silent auction and they have to put in a bid and they aren't allowed to see the vehicles they are bidding on. They do this so they can lie and say they have been out bidded. They put the car through the body shop to get bondoed up and painted then it goes to detail and then it goes back on the lot. They also keep copies of every key to the customers cars and keep them in the customers file for repoes this is also illegal. When a customer pays the car off they will deny having a copy of the key and just throw it away. I can go on and on but these people are evil. They rip off every single customer they get. If u actually get lucky enough to get a decent car then chances are if you buy another 1 it will be a complete piece of xxxx.

I recently purchased a Mercedes GL 550 from Tapp Motors. Over the years my family had done a lot of business with Tapp and I felt that purchasing a vehicle would be a decent experience. However within two weeks of my purchasing the vehicle, it broke down and the power steering went out. I began experiencing problems with the steering almost immediately but never thought that it would completely break down. It was obvious that the problem existed at the time I bought the car. I immediately contacted Tapps who said they would take the vehicle to get it fixed. After I was without my car for an entire week, I finally received a phone call from the mechanic stating it was ready and that Tapps would be covering the cost replacing the power steering pump. Unfortunately 30 minutes later I receive a call from our salesman that we would have to pay the labor on the repairs because they don't warranty their vehicles. Had the car broke down months after I had it, this might be justifiable, but it was within weeks. When I tried to explain this to our salesman he simply stated that once it drives off the lot, they are no longer responsible. It is unfortunate that this is the type of customer service they feel is acceptable especially as a local business. I paid for the repairs but I don't think that I should have to have paid for anything, they sold it to me with the issue. This is the first and last vehicle I will purchase from them. Customers beware that customer service and customer retention is obviously not high on their priority list. They must be fine with a one and done customer!

I read the review of the Mazda above with interest. I bought a Jaguar through eBay from this outfit. I guess Doug tells everyone the same story! Had it shipped and it was not as it was presented. Was told no wrecks and just a little interior wear and such. The paint job on the front bumper could have been done as well with a brush. The other damage was evident in the rear since nothing is aligned or fits properly. He said he lost money on the deal... The interior was clean but nothing works correctly. He said he would have kept it for himself when I called to get resolution about how they misreprented it online but it was too fast and he didn't want to get ticketed. He was absurd in his demeanor. Run away from these folks as fast as you can. Karen, on the other hand was always pleasant on the phone, bless her heart for having to work at such a scam outfit.

I saw a vehicle online and called to inquire about it as I lived 2.5 hours away. "Great truck, no rust, good paint job" were some of the comments that I was given. Drove the 150 miles to see the vehicle. What a piece of junk! Dented bumper, rust everywhere and one fender did not even match. Obviously a wrecked truck. Mislead is an understatement. Salesman laughed it off as "that's why it is so cheap". Five hours of my wasted time is not funny to me! BEWARE!!!

Test drove a car. Negotiated a price several days later. Talked with operations manager John Brook three times on day of purchase. Purchased car insurance for this car. Took time off work. Showed up with nephew so we could drive both cars back. Arrived as car was in process of being sold to another person. Was told to wait around because that deal was not done. Waited until it was, indeed, done. Left in time to see woman drive off in car I was there to purchase. Cars of Kentucky - family business that will treat you right.... unless they get a better offer.

When we checked out a 2006 Chevy Malibu here - it looked great - drove great on the test run, and it was priced for about $5,000.
As soon as I drove it off the lot (after I filled it up, mind you -- it was left on E for a reason) it had issues. It began to make strange noises coming from what seemed to be the drivers front side under the wheel. I took it straight away to a tire place across the street and they told me that whoever sold it to me replaced half of what needed to be replaced and left the rest to us. We signed a "buy as is" contract so we (my dad & I) couldn't go back and complain.
Several months later now, I'm STILL having issues with the car. I've had the breaks changed (which were almost out) as well as those things near the tire replaced. It's left me stranded several times - and yet when I first got it - it seemed fine. The whole dang computer is having issues... and the guy who worked on it informed us that it was in a rather serious wreck that could have triggered the whole onset of the problems. There are also RECALLS that had been put out for this particular model that could have been fixed before being sold - that were not fixed. More time lost for me.
DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE. THEY SEEM FRIENDLY BUT THEY WILL CHEAT YOU OUT OF YOUR MONEY. They didn't have a lot of answers to questions my dad had either. Their "I don't know" - I'm sure, wasn't one of ignorance.

If I could rate this dealership below 1 star I would. Totally deceived by the owner and salesman about a used Camry we purchased for my son. We were told the car was a one owner car and had never been in a wreck but both of those statements are false. It was an Enterprise car, then purchased by a woman and now at the car lot and had been in an accident. The day we purchased the car up we noticed the CD player did not work. My parents were bringing the car down (600 miles) for his graduation a few days later so the salesman told us they would put a new radio in the car. However, once the car was given to my son we learned that the radio had not been replaced and the cd player still did not work. That's the minor issue at this point. While driving the car down the interstate a loud noise was heard. Upon further inspection water damage near the sun roof and on the head liner was discovered as someone attempted to cover it up at some point. We reached out to the owner Hal and he refused for us to let anyone inspect it in MD and said he would only fix it if we brought the car back to KY, 600 miles away. Due to the amount we spent on the car we agreed to bring the car back for everything to be fixed and/or replaced. 1200 miles round trip. Long story short we were lied too and drove 1200 miles round trip and had to take 2 days off of work and the only thing we received was a completely detached sunroof that they DUCT TAPED on the roof of the car, yes duct taped!!! There was a minor leak when the car was brought in and picked up with completely detached glass and a MAJOR leak. They caused further damage and caused the car to get rained in and cause further water damage. Yes there is a recall on the sunroof but they should have known this when they sold the car and/or told me that I must drive it back to KY and not wasted my money and time. However the car is now not safe to drive. They originally put plastic over the roof but we did not realize they had detached the glass and it is unsafe to drive. Until we got in the car this morning and there was standing water in the leather seats. I was told to bring the car back in right now and they would fix it. So I drove another hour and their solution was to duct tape the sun roof to the roof of the car. The owner Hal told us he is washing his hands and it isn't his problem. I drove 1200 miles for DUCT TAPE. They have told me the car is safe to drive with it pouring rain and the glass part of the sun roof is duct taped on. Besides spending 10's of thousands of dollars, more money in gas and time we got duct tape and a worse off issue than we started with! The head mechanic and owner would not even discuss the issues and said it is my problem although we just purchased the car. We spent a great deal of money for a Camry for my son and have been lied too and treated like xxxx. Do not believe a word these people say or do. They are the reason car salesmen get a bad name and I would not recommend for anyone to shop here. They lie and sell cars unsafe to be on the road. Bottom line, go to a reputable dealership and do not waste your time or money with a bunch of liars who promise things they are not willing to deliver. At the end of this ordeal we were told duct tape was all they could do even though the car left in worse condition than it was brought in. This car was far from cheap and the price was maybe 500 below the average for a good used Camry but these people will tell you anything to get you out of the door with your hard earned cash in their pocket. THEIVES is a compliment when describing these people. From reading their previous reviews I felt comfortable shopping here but I am now convinced they must have written most of them!!!!

Bought a used jeep broke the next day,gave me another jeep,has broke down numerous times, in their shop twice,last time,thought I was going to trade it in for another more reliable vehicle, they actually delivered back to my house, no explanation, just handed over the key,later I discovered they broke my driver's seat,they fraudulently wrote up the contract by writing down wrong mileage, it had too many for finance company to approve,and after I discovered seat was broken and jeep brought back to me,no one will talk to me or answer emails, I am also disabled, and feel like I am taken advantage of

Buyer Beware. Bought a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee from Tom Leis Auto in mid-June on a Saturday, drove it one mile from his lot to my house, did not try to drive it again until 2 days later. On Monday morning my son got into the car to go to work, it would not start. No engine turn-over, no clicking, no sound, nothing - not a battery problem either as all electrical was on and working including lights and radio and it would not jump at all. There were electrical problems. Sent an email to Tom Leis Auto - they offered no help other than to suggest a place to take it to and say sorry you bought it "as-is". Had to pay to fix electrical system issues.
Pre-purchase I had discovered that front windshield wiper sprayer nosel wasn't working right, he said he would fix it before purchase. When taking car to my mechanic to put on new tires, I tested using the windshield wiper fluid, of course it did not work. Had to pay my mechanic to fix this - he ordered correct new part. He said it looked like what they had done was to take defective part and stuff it into tube with some super glue. That was their definition of fixing it I guess before my purchase. Totally shoddy.
A few weeks later we noticed some water leaking into passenger side hand holder area after some rain but could not figure it out. A few days after that a hard rain came and the entire front passenger seat and floor area were flooded from leak. Over an inch of water standing in passenger seat foot area. Took car in to check this out, they determined that car had leaks in not one but two areas ... the sunroof and front windshield. Had to pay to fix sunroof leak, still trying to figure out windshield leak - will have to pay for that too. Sent an email to Tom Leis Auto about 2nd set of issues, leaks - no reply whatsoever.
I know from what Tom Leis Auto told me when I was looking at the vehicle that it had been on their lot for a while. The idea that they new nothing about any of these issues is ridiculous.
