I went to Stateline a few weeks ago to look at the Promaster City Vans. Mr. Paul Swinson put me in one to test drive. It drove fine but it was not the model I was looking for. Stateline did not have what I wanted but besides that, I was still in discovery and shopping modes. Nissan was not completely off the table yet.

My wife and I were shopping for a few months when we found a great match at Lake Keowee CDJ. We called and were provided immediate information that helped us decide to make the trip to their store from Atlanta (1.5 hours away). We drove up on Friday afternoon and upon arriving they had the vehicle sitting out front and gave us a warm greeting.
We took about 40 minutes to go over the vehicle (used 2015) and take it for a test drive. John walked us through every feature and pointed out everything he knew about the car. We took a drive with John and he explained additional features as we drove.
Upon arrival back to the store, we knew it was the right car for us and they quickly processed the vehicle and we met with F&I to settle the terms.
Everyone we encountered were friendly and knowledgable - there was never undue pressure to buy and they were very transparent about the process and pricing.
Its nice to work with a Dealership that knows their product, answers all of your questions, and empowers you to make the right purchase decision. All-in, we walked in at 3pm and walked out with the vehicle at 5:30. An hour of the time was our inspection and test-drive, and hour and a half was securing the loan and terms.
We definitely recommend checking them out when you are in the market to buy.

I called Benson Dodge, spoke to a salesman Chris Collins, I explained where I was with my credit and that I was upside down on my existing car loan. And rcoressed that I do not think they will be able to help me. He suggested I apply online to see where I was on my credit, so I did. He also, mentioned that they can do some creative financing to try to help me out but they need to appraise my vehicle, being its the end of the month. Well I get there this morning, o9ne of the salesmen let him know I was there, he told the sales person to assist me. Well obviously due to my credit he must have realized ther wasnt much he can do for me, therefore, he never came out to introduce himself to me. Since obvioudly he wasn't going to make any money with me. I am expecting some cash and needless to say I will not be spending my money there.
Well, I will never purchase a vehicle from there, nor will I recommend them.

Bought a 2009 Tahoe here called ahead told me wonderful shape to hurry down from Charlotte have another guy coming back for it. When I got there it had never even been cleaned soda stains of floors the radio was broken. Thought was weird but decided to test drive anyways. Seemed to drive good and salesman was huge on the fact it was one owner and 0 wrecks. I bought it took home for mechanic to check it out. Leak in the radiator, both rear door actuators were bad, bad exhaust leak and burnt transmission fluid . It gets better the 0 accident carfax they told me they had was false it has 3 major wrecks one hitting a pole and one hitting a tree . Getting on top to wash I know found out the roof is covered in hail damage . Stay away from this dealer.

Terrible. Called and was told I could get the same deal on a jeep Cherokee that I was quoted a month and 5 days prior without pulling my credit once again ( qualified for 0% the month before ) to find out when I get there they do need to pull again because I was 5 days too late. After pulling credit was given price quote on exact same vehicle as month before but this time it was $3000 more along with my trade being $500 less making what was a $400 a month payment then now somewhere between $450-$475. What a waste of time and a rip off.

Bought a brand new jeep Sahara from them although it was a demo they assured me it was new. 2 days later I decided I didn't want the demo I wanted another new one. They would not exchange it an within a week I started having trouble with the heated seats an the radio. Then we find a pair of used women's under ware in the back of the seat. I called the sales manager an the general manager trying to resolve these issues an they act like they don't won't to talk to me an they won't return my messages. This place is a JOKE!!!!!!!

We had gotten into a bad vehicle at another dealer that would not work with us. Came into Island Chrysler Jeep and spoke to Chris and Ed. They understood the situation, worked with us and got us into a 2016 Jeep Patriot and got the other vehicle paid off. They went above and beyond to make the deal work. We are very happy and all I can say to Ed and Chris is thank you thank you and thank you. You both were wonderful, I felt like family. They even stayed an hour beyond closing to complete the transaction so we could take the car home.

My daughter just purchase a use Jeep Liberty from Hoover in Summerville. Not even 2 weeks after purchase my daughter was driving home from work and the vehicle engine shut down. It was towed to shop and we was told that the engine has seized and a replacement engine will be needed. I called Hoover and told them what happen. They inform me that the vehicle was sold “ use as is” and nothing they can do about it. I can’t not believe an reparable place as Hoover would do that to any customer, my daughter is so upset about all this, not understanding why Hoover refuses to help her. She has lost 5,000 dollars never to get it back. I would go half with Hoover to get another engine but they refuse and will not even return my calls. How can a Car deal ship allow a vehicle to be sold knowing there was issues with it.
After several phone attempts and a personal visit to the dealer ship I spoke with the GM of sales, I basically got told you bought what you bought as is. I requested to speak to the person who was in charge of operations at the dealer ship and was given no name. I was told he wasn't around and he will be inform about this situation. I asked the GM of sales do they do a check over on pre-own vehicle before they put them on the lot for sale and he inform no. The sales person who sold my daughter the jeep told us that they do a look over at all vehicles before the vehicle is place on the lot for sale. He told me that the sales person who sold my daughter the Jeep did ask me and my daughter if we wanted the service department to look over the vehicle. The sales GM told me that we refused. That is a Lie. We were never asked if we wanted the vehicle looked over, we was told that has already been done. The only thing the salesman did say they would wash the vehicle while we waited to go over the paper work, my daughter told the sales man no thank you and she wanted to wash it cause she was so excited. The sales man did tell me and my daughter that they just did the oil change and filter on the Jeep. The oil was never changed along with the oil filter I cannot believe how Hoover would treat people with lies. I understand the lemon law for used vehicles in SC, but for an engine to seized within 2 weeks of purchase and the dealer ship is telling you too bad its a chance you take when buying a used vehicle, what kind of people would tell that to a 19 year old girl. My daughter is so heart broke over this and cannot understand how Hoover would just lie and do care for customers after a purchase. This needs attention. Thank you.

I had a appointment and dropped my car off around 9:45. They said it would take 2 1/2 no more than 3 hours to change my alternator. I came back at 1 only to find out that they just started on my car. So now I will be late or even miss work today. I would not bring my car back here for anything.

They have had my vehicle for almost 2 weeks. It cuts off while driving. They said they would look at my vehicle the day I had it towed in. Didn't hear from them. Dropped it off on a Tuesday. Didn't hear from them Wednesday. I called several times no answer with the business card contact information. Then I looked on line for a main number to call and they transferred me to the service department. After several rings someone finally picked up. He was yelling across the room asking about my vehicle. The guy said they were just looking at. That's fine, i told them to let me know and to check the fuel pump. I hung up... Waited for a call and no call.. Tried to call again on Thursday and Friday. The phone just rang.. I called again on Saturday and finally got to talk to someone. They said my car started. I had no problem starting my car.. It was cutting off while I was driving. He said he could do a manual check on the fuel pump on Monday. Well... Monday, Tuesday, comes and no call. I talked to them last Friday and they were going to have a mechanic drive it home over the weekend to see if it would cut off. Went by the dealership on Saturday and Sunday and it is still sitting at the dealership. Today is Monday and no call. I had to have my Uncle call and he has been dealing with them. Well at least trying to. He tried to call today several times and was put on hold over 20 minutes and it would transfer back to switchboard operator.
Not a good experience - Car buyer
Selected one star because there was no zero. Do not do what we did and waste 45 minutes driving out to this dealership. We were told by online sales to come on out, that they would be able to work with our $5k budget. We got there and James sort of laughed about our budget (even though they advertise multiple cars under that price online). They didn't have any of the online cars on the lot. The two cars we did want to look at he went into the dealership to get the keys for. When he came out empty handed we were a little irritated, especially after standing in the heat for about ten minutes waiting. He said he would have to look around for them and call us later because he couldn't locate them. Yet, he wrote the stock numbers down after he came back out. We explained that if he couldn't find the keys we wouldn't be back because it was a 45 minute drive. When we refused to give our phone number he started walking away and said to have a good night. My husband chuckled at his reaction and called him a liar for not getting the keys and yanking our chain after driving 45 minutes. He pointed up to the sky and told us "he'll" get you for that. Just ridiculous! I have never had such horrible service.

The service department is the absolute worst I have never had an experience so bad in my life.I would mot go back there ever. They make sure you can't keep to the terms of the customer for life program so they can cancel it on you. I can't say enough how unhappy I am.
