What appeared to be a good price was heavily padded with excess fees and markups. Please note, my salesman was very courteous and helpful, but appears his hands were tied from higher up. They would not budge off of the list price of the vehicle. Since they were fairly competitive I decided I could live with this. Then the shady practices came to light. Doc fee almost double what their own website advertises, which was already high. "Fees" in excess of $1700 on a used vehicle which included me paying for transportation for a car already on their lot (I did not order it), detailing, etc, etc. Some things missing from the vehicle as well. All in all, do not go there thinking you are only going to pay the advertised price. Given the shady markups on the price, I'm afraid of what finance would have offered me. All in all I would say 2 and a half stars but that wasn't an option. More
Car shopping made easy and hassle free I found on Facebook marketplace a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan. Andrew Fitzpatrick approached and greeted me. I told him what I was looking for. I looked and test drove the van and he was patient and did not pressure me at all to buy it. We came back did all sales paperwork and I paid let him know I would be back on the following day to pick it up. I called ahead the next day and the van was cleaned and ready for me to take. Just had to finish the paperwork and away I went. I have bought many car at dealerships over the years and this by far was the most pleasant experience. In my opinion it didn't matter if that bought a $4000 used minivan or a $60,000 new truck. He was patient, courteous, and non pressure at all. I would definitely come back to buy another vehicle there. More

Advantage takes "ADVANTAGE" of the elderly! I made the appointment for my elderly mother to bring in her Certified Pre-Owned Chevrolet Malibu for a scheduled "covered" service appointment that i I made the appointment for my elderly mother to bring in her Certified Pre-Owned Chevrolet Malibu for a scheduled "covered" service appointment that included an oil change, tire rotation and multi-point inspection. I notified the service advisor beforehand that my mother often heard a loud metallic bang or clank when she shifted the Malibu from park into reverse after a cold start. I was informed that she would not be charged to inspect the issue and if it were detected it would be repaired under warranty. The vehicle is extremely well maintained, has around 14K miles, looks, drives and smells brand new still, plus it is garage kept. Advantage Chevrolet couldn't duplicate the noise (that I fear is transmission related) but proceeded to charge my mother $180 for the inspection. After a short exchange they reduced it to $90. So a fully covered CPO vehicle with 14K miles with a CPO bumper to bumper warranty & a 5 yr/60,000 mi powertrain warranty apparently isn't covered at Advantage Chevrolet. Be prepared to be taken Advantage of at Advantage Chevrolet where they prey on the elderly. More

Hats off to Brion Parrish & Dennis Reily! I went into Chevy on a Saturday morning for an oil change on my Chevy Trax, and walked out with a new(er) car. I had asked to speak with someone about possibly trading my car in, and Brion walked up and right away I knew that I was going to like this guy. He introduced himself and asked me some questions pertaining to my current car, and what exactly i was looking for in something new. He showed me multiple cars, and we came across my Lucille (a red chevy Equinox)! I automatically fell in love, and started picturing myself in this car. When i had to meet with Dennis in financing, he made it very clear as to what i was signing, and answered all of my questions. Dennis was very educated and didn't make me feel as if i was signing away my soul. Haha. Needless to say, after everything was said and done, and all the paperwork was filled out, i went home in my new car. Thanks again to everyone at Chevy in Hodgkins, and especially Brion and Dennis!
