I know how long it usually takes to get the deal done. I was beyond impressed with the service and speed I received at Advantage Chevrolet. We were in and out of there with a new 2017 Cruze in less than 2 hours. Steve was a pleasure to deal with and I will be contacting him again in the near future to hopefully purchase another one. Cyril is employee of Advantage Chevrolet, his Manager John Mack is equally like Cyril, I reported to John Mack that Cyril was discussing my Credit r Cyril is employee of Advantage Chevrolet, his Manager John Mack is equally like Cyril, I reported to John Mack that Cyril was discussing my Credit report/history with people on the street, even though they sold me a show engine Car that was shaky and engine knocked, John Mack said it is not his business, this are set of employees that advantage Chevrolet have in there establishment. this set of people can careless about people, they only think of making profit and commission off customers. when you patronize a dealer place this is the treatment that you get from employee and his manager. kudos to CarMax, they know how to treat customers, this is about customer service. I will never ever ever ever recommend anybody to buy either used or new car from this company. IT IS VERY SAD THAT THEY ARE IN BUSINESS. More

Due to our situation, this was a tough deal but Cyril did it. And Dennis, Omg! Fabulous! Right before going in to sign the financing documents, I said to my husband "this is the part that I dread"...really, who likes signing their life away?! But from the moment we walked in Dennis made the atmosphere none-intimidating. He was very friendly and even gave advice on how to increase our credit score so that when we come back for another car or to refinance(hint, hint) things will be a lot smoother. I appreciate the personal touch because neither Cyril nor Dennis are required to offer the advice that they did but they did. Our credit isn't the worst but it's not the best. The staff is always friendly and I'm greeted with a smile all the time. I have been treated like family since day one. They have excellent customer service. They are truly committed into providing professional service and clearly shows because I always come back to them when in need of a vehicle. My salesman Ernie Jimenez has always provided me with great assistance. I came in to purchase a brand new 2017 Chevy Silverado LTZ Z71 that I had seen on the internet because they had the best price. Ernie brought in the paperwork and after reviewing my options we came to an agreement and signed and moved on to finance. My finance manager was Mark Brown he was extremely helpful and answered all my questions. After some small talk found out we shared similar experience as far as work. He had once done my job as a railroader. He had some great stuff to tell me about his experience as a railroader. After our conversation mark brown provided me with exceptional service and got me to finance my vehicle with ease. I would definitely recommend this dealership To anyone that wants to purchase or lease a vehicle and wants to be treated as family. More

My credit isn’t great, I have a small down payment, and have a small budget to work with. That being said I still deserve decent customer service and respect. I am looking to buy a newer reliable car and am very aware of my limited choices. I went in to Advantage Chevrolet in Hodgkins prequalified for a car loan and looking for a specific car that unfortunately had already been sold. The young salesman was pleasant enough and asked if he could find me something in my budget if I would take a look at it. I showed him my prequalified letter and was bluntly honest with him. I gave him the amount of my deposit, the price range for my payment and said this is where I need to be. I happened to have my ex husband with me to take a look at the cars for me as I don’t know much about cars. The salesman brought out a car he thought would fit and we took it for a test drive and had some small talk. After asking how long we had been married and we stated we were divorced, he asked why we were divorced. A little disconcerting but we laughed it off to inexperience and never answered his question. When we got back to the show room, he asked my ex if the car would only be in his name, again a little concerning because he had seen the prequalified letter that had my name on it, but again chalked it up to inexperience and we stated it would be in my name only. He then goes to run the numbers, presumably with the company I was prequalified with. He comes back with a payment $103 more than what I said I could afford. He asks if they hold the car for me if I could get together another $1000-2000 for a deposit. Absolutely not. What if they take the payment down by $50 then its ONLY $53 more than what I was expecting. I tried to give him a little perspective and told him I understand that for him maybe he just doesn’t go out Friday night to save $53 but for me that’s 50% of my grocery budget to feed my kids. I left disappointed that I didn’t find a car for myself but perfectly happy with the service, even with the odd questions and slightly condescending manner. He was on the young side and everyone needs to learn appropriate small talk, he just needs more experience. I was happy until I checked my email the next day. I got an email that there had been a change to my credit report. I expected that because they ran my credit so an inquiry would be reported. Then I received another and another and another, actually a total of 6 more inquiries. I was shocked to say the least. When I pulled up my credit report it showed 6 other banks that the dealership had run my credit through! Without my permission! I made it very clear that I would be going through with my prequalified loan, showed it to him, repeated myself, said I would live with the higher percentage rate, he held it in his hands! My credit score was changed by 86 points in a half hour. I worked for 18 months to raise my credit score to the level it was at from having no credit. They ruined 18 months of work in 30 minutes. Please let me be clear that the issue is not that I did not walk out without a car! This issue is that they had no permission to run my credit through any other bank besides the one I was preapproved! I call and spoke to Gail and Dan. I have to compliment them on how professional and courteous they were. I then spoke to the sales manager John. Honestly I wish I hadn’t. I felt blown off and his apology was insincere. He told me their job was to get me a car I could afford. Well guess what, with a ruined credit score I cant afford any car. he told me there was clearly a miscommunication. How?? The salesman help my letter in his hands, I repeated myself, I said I would live with the little bit higher percentage. When I told him that I left satisfied with my service and would have recommended them and that now I would never recommend them to anyone and was going to give them bad reviews on line he simply said “uhuh”. I wound up hanging up on him. The whole experience left me feeling disappointed, disrespected and with a ruined credit score. From a one hour trip to a car dealership. More

The next day before traveling an hour a phone call was made AGAIN making sure it was there. "Yes" - Drove to the dealership to be told that it "just SOLD 10 minutes ago" REALLY - Where is it? I just like to see. "Sorry person flew in purchased the suburban and is gone." All within 1 hour and maybe 10 minutes - I CALL xx - Buyers BEWARE More
Advantage tried to take advantage of me I leased two Chevy Cruze's from Advantage Chevrolet, the 2014 Cruze Ls had 6 months left on the lease term and on the other , 2014 Cruze LT, 15 months I leased two Chevy Cruze's from Advantage Chevrolet, the 2014 Cruze Ls had 6 months left on the lease term and on the other , 2014 Cruze LT, 15 months. It was service time and I had both vehicles serviced, at the time of dropping the LS I was asked if I would be interested in the upgrade program, I agreed and talked to a sales man, he said there were some specials on the 2017 Cruze, Equinox and Trax, so I was only interested in the Cruze and Trax, after finding a Cruze and a Trax they gave me a monthly payment for the 2017 Cruze LT and ending my current lease on the 2014 Cruze LS , the monthly payment was almost twice of my current payment, which I said it was ridiculous, supposedly my current Cruze was going to be a wash as I owed very little but the new payment was based on $0 due at signing, so I said no, after a 30 minute negotiation the manager said the best they could do was $253 a month and I said no, he asked me how much was the best I could do and I said 215 a month, so he left and came back and said $253 was the lowest they could do, so I left and went home. Once at home I called Castle Chevrolet which is closer to my house and went there to see if they had a better deal, so I checked fora Trax LT AWD and a Cruze LT, the sales person took my info and came back with an monthly payment to lease the Trax for $299 to which I said no, after 10 minutes negotiating they said they will do for $249 a month so I told them the best I would do is $240 and this was accepted and now I am driving my 2017 Trax LT AWD and got a $100 coupon certificate to buy accessories. I am so glad with Castle because it is closer to home, they offer free oil and filter change for life and also free tires for life, free loaner, and much more. I am sure that Advantage Chevrolet would have probably asked $240 for the same vehicle. My next purchase or lease will be at Castle, they have earned my business and Advantage Chevrolet lost my business, no loyalty...what a shame. I won't recommend Advantage Chevrolet anymore. More
