Let’s start by saying , I thought I truly liked my car but I was sold a rust bucket that has every screw holding the engine together rusted as well as systemic rust in the body. They were well aware of th but I was sold a rust bucket that has every screw holding the engine together rusted as well as systemic rust in the body. They were well aware of this cars condition. Not only was I cheated on the sale of its condition but the salesman informed me that the listed price was even 1500 dollars higher do to a electronic device added to the engine(it was not able to be removed I did not want it) Yes I should have walked away definitely should have walked or at least had a mechanic look at it, lesson learned, very severely indeed. I had the assumption that buying from a dealership would be safe and that their integrity would hold them to a higher standard than the other used car lots. What a horrible mistake I made. I have tried to talk to the dealership owner since it was his son who sold me the car, to no avail. I am very angry that I have been treated in this fashion. All the smiles and kindness through the paperwork will not replace the fanatical hardship I am face having bought a car in this condition. Our community becomes an ugly place when people are treated without respect. As a retired person on a fixed income this hardship will be very difficult to endure especially with the continued financial crisis we are facing in this country and even more so in CA. Shame on Albany Subaru for the sale of this car. It should have gone to auction with my trade in. More

My experience at Albany Subaru was an example of excellence in service. The service department demonstrated integrity from the start and every step following. The initial problem, which they resol excellence in service. The service department demonstrated integrity from the start and every step following. The initial problem, which they resolved quickly, uncovered another issue that resulted in the need of monitoring which led to an extensive repair. They informed me that these repairs were covered by SOA's 5/60 warranty but the warranty was ending within weeks and we were traveling within a shorter period. They coordinated with SOA and moved this repair forward on the service calendar to be certain the repairs would be complete before the warranty ends and our travel started. Yet another problem surfaced that added to the repair. Again they accelerated an order for parts and the additional work. Because of this compounding repair I interfaced with several people over 3 weeks sorting out the problems, getting the best advice the best solution. Every person I met was exceptionally nice and considerate. Every person I met was single mindedly trying to help in resolve the problems. Simply put there is a culture of excellence and integrity in the Albany Service Center. You leave with more than a serviced car, which seems secondary to getting the experience and attention of a team of professionals that are really good at what they do. Albany Subaru has been great when it comes to vehicle services. Responsive, knowledgeable, and friendly staff! Subaru vehicles, not so much. This is my second Subaru in 6 years (new 2017 outback and cert services. Responsive, knowledgeable, and friendly staff! Subaru vehicles, not so much. This is my second Subaru in 6 years (new 2017 outback and certified preowned 2020 Ascent) and both have been riddled with issues; oil seepage around engine, broken axle, electrical glitches, wheel bearings, ball joints, tie rods, and transmission issues. No more Subarus for us! More
