1st time buyer. Walked in. Asked for a Compass with 0 down just paying taxes and dmv. I put a deposit down for a car the the dealership never had. Lost 3 cars in 5 days. Lost 2 weeks between you and East down just paying taxes and dmv. I put a deposit down for a car the the dealership never had. Lost 3 cars in 5 days. Lost 2 weeks between you and East Hills. Was told to sign papers as Salesperson explained them to me. Never was given breakdown of the money after I asked ((SEVERAL)) times. After telling me total amount I owe was $3500. This was with $995 down which NEVER told to us. We had to double check and saw 995 filled in after we signed. It was me my wife and my father in law. WE ALL EXPERIENCED THIS TOGETHER. Exactly what I didnt want. Was told Sal was Sales Manager and told me to take it or leave it. Also gave me a 300 credit because after talking to the Salesperson, they knew I was right. So in the end...i was swindled out of $695. The day we picked up the vehicle, coming from Jersey, it had paint chips, scratches on fender and scuffs on bumper all around the vehicle. Took 1 month to get Nelson to talk to bayside collision. I Lost 4 days with out a car and was not provided a loaner car. This experience was herendous. I never been taken advantage of like this. Most unprofessional and would not refer this place to anyone, so that they will not have the same experience. More
My Jeep (5 mth old, 2020 model) broke down when I was driving through New York and Jeep’s roadside assistance towed my car here. First I received a call that there is a fuel problem and it would cost $18 driving through New York and Jeep’s roadside assistance towed my car here. First I received a call that there is a fuel problem and it would cost $1850 to fix it which I approved. Then I called my insurance company Geico to ask if they cover it. They promised to cover the repair but said they want to send an inspector over to see what the issue is. The next day I got a call from Geico and they told that the dealership had agreed to cancel all charges and do them as warranty repairs. Next I received a call from the dealership and now my rep there said that after ”somebody nobody” from my insurance company had visited them I only have to pay $250. After I questioned this a bit I was told that actually I should have been charged $2500. The price went to $0 after I said I would have to ask my insurance company again. In the end I did get my car back in working condition but this whole episode left me wondering if the issue I was reported was the real issue. I would have also been charged $1850 had Geico not stepped in. When I picked the car up and found my radio being on some weird channel with the bass maxed out that really was the cherry on top of the cake. I wish Jeep had better quality control over dealerships using their name. More
