I believe it was Kory that took the car for a test drive, and he said he’ll fix everything if I’m sure on the car, he was awesome. It was just the front brake pads and e-brake that needed to be fixed, and the scratches needed to be buffed out, but Kory was very accommodating. Shawn explained the paper work to me very well, the time to wait for him was a bit long, but understandable because it was very busy; very quick and painless process. Shawn knows what he’s doing. Jose said he wouldn’t be able to send me the purchase agreement until I knew for sure what insurance company I was going to do because I was thinking progressive, but I wanted to find cheaper insurance. It took me a couple days but I chose liberty mutual. I contacted Jose and told him that I’m switching to liberty mutual instead. Jose sent me the original purchase agreement with progressive still on it and I was at work and couldn’t really deal with this, so I had my father call Jose for me and I’m not sure if my father didn’t ask correctly or if Jose was confused but he said he’ll fix it and sent me the old purchase agreement and added a license plate fee on it (which I needed, even though it should have already been on the agreement since I told him the very first day we met that I needed plates) and the insurance was still progressive, and he wanted me to sign with incorrect info. My dad wanted to pick the car up while I was working, but Jose said he needed me there to sign some papers, so we decided Friday on my day off would be best. The plan was for me to go with my sister and get the purchase agreement and go to DCU to pick up the check then wait for my dad at home, I guess for some reason they couldn’t do it at the dealership, then once my dad got out of work at 1pm we would go to pick up the car. The dealership was going out of my way if I was to go to DCU and DCU was going out of my way if I was to go to the dealership because DCU, the dealership, and my house are all around 50 mins away from each other. Nothing went as planned because the dealership was already closed by the time I got out of work for me to explain to Jose that he still has the wrong insurance on the agreement for the third time. My dad took a half day from work so we could get the car that day because it was either going to be snowing or raining the next day. We get to the dealership and Jose was confused, our time was wasted because he could have just edited the purchase agreement when I told him and sent me the correct copy because that’s literally all he did when we were there, then we left (it was like 1:10pm) to try to make it to my appointment with DCU at 2pm that is 45 mins away from the dealership. I got out of DCU an hour later to then drive in traffic almost an hour back to the dealership with the check. We didn’t get out of the dealership until around 5:30 or 6pm to end up in traffic again for over an hour to get back home. My father and I had not ate all day from going back and forth to deal with this issue that could have been so simple. I’m a person that likes to have things planned and be at places at specific times so the fact that nothing was going according to plan had me very stressed and frustrated that day. I had been looking for a car for 3 weeks already and I looked at the same car in two other dealerships, the first one I felt was racist and the second one wanted me to finance through them and when I told them I already was approved by DCU, they added $5,000 on to the price just for going through DCU. So after all this I was already over looking for a car. Also, I contacted Liberty mutual because I sent my certificate of insurance to DCU and they said the Lien Holder is missing or incorrect. Liberty mutual fixed it for me, but they said the dealership should have done that when I bought the car. So far, I love my car, but as for my experience, I don’t know if Jose wasn’t paying attention to me or confused me with another one of his clients, but I think my experience could have been better. I understand we are all human and can get mixed up sometimes, so I decided to give 4 stars instead of the 3 that I was originally contemplating on doing. More
