The test-drive experience was very relaxed - no sales rep in the car and our parents could ride along with us. Dan Rzepnicki was very friendly. He explained all the options and helped us pick the car that was right for us. He was available to answer questions by phone/text. Dan was not too pushy about making the sale. When it was time to negotiate a deal, he made the experience almost stress-free. When we picked up our new car, all of the features were explained. Overall, Dan went out of his way to ensure that our car-buying experience was as easy and pleasant as possible. More

Since the sale, he has given just the right amount of information about important/useful features in the car and how they work. Would definitely work with him again. We were not as pleased with the negotiations for our trade-in. Unlike with the new car, our sense is that the dealership was less interested in a fair deal for both parties, and more interested in making as much money as possible. Not Your Typical "Car Salesman" I had previously purchased a Subaru Forester from Cityside Subaru in 2010. I had a great experience with Peter Rosenberg, who was so different from I had previously purchased a Subaru Forester from Cityside Subaru in 2010. I had a great experience with Peter Rosenberg, who was so different from other car salespeople that I had dealt with who were rude, condescending, and pushy. Peter was very kind, considerate, not at all pushy, and seemed to genuinely care that I was happy with my car purchase. When I needed another car after my Forester was totaled in an accident, I called the dealership and asked if Peter was still working there. Luckily, I had the pleasure of doing business with him again last month when I purchased a 2016 Crosstrek. Once again, Peter was very easy to work with and I felt very comfortable with him. Another thing about Peter is that he cares about his customers even after the sale is made, and I wouldn't hesitate to contact him with any questions about my Crosstrek. I trust Peter and would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking to purchase a Subaru. More

I felt like I had as much time as I needed with him. At Cityside, they even let you test drive *without* a salesperson in the car; talk about no pressure! purchase of 2017 forester Buying a car is stressful under any circumstances. I had previously purchased a Forester from Cityside in 2005, so when that car was showing signs of Buying a car is stressful under any circumstances. I had previously purchased a Forester from Cityside in 2005, so when that car was showing signs of wanting to be put out to pasture I started shopping around Boston-area dealers for a replacement Forester. Although I contacted numerous dealers, I wound up back at Cityside. Their price was fair, and the salesman I was assigned, Peter Rosenberg, was warm, personable and showed a sense of humor that I think is probably quite rare in the business. He listened carefully to what I wanted, then steered me to what he thought would fit my needs. He arranged for me to drive three cars, then even loaned me one for a few hours so I could take it home to show my family. In the end, he bargained fairly and I got the car I wanted (a new Forester) in the color my wife and daughter wanted (Jasmine Green) within the necessary time span (two days). Everyone walked away happy. More

However, o.k went to poor in little time; My experience with sales and service since has been unprofessional and disorganized. The sales manager when asked questions is arrogant, angry, condescending and quite rude with no regard for the customer. My first appt. with service, an hour drive, wasn't listed upon arrival was poor. Then, when I read the needless and wasteful amount of thick paper in the Subaru book (environmentalists take note!)and couldn't find a basic answer to a problem (troubleshooting)when stuck, I asked a salesperson to find the answer in the book which he could Not Find because it doesn't exist. No-one in sales reads the Subaru book given to new buyers, a reflection of what to expect. The dealership prefers to have customers phone, a nice thought but not realistic in a 24 hour day and traveling. Then, if you are told the wonders of Subaru road service, know it is NOT; Keep your AAA for reliable road assistance. This dealership is a disappointment. Take your business elsewhere. More
