The Reality of the Deal: For context, you purchased this vehicle from us in Saint Louis, Missouri, and had it shipped to your home in Nebraska. You specifically sought out our dealership because you found the absolute cheapest vehicle of this specific make and model within a 500-mile radius of your home. Buyers do not shop across state lines unless they are getting an exceptional value, which you did. Upfront GM Disclosure: No fees were "slid" past you. When you initially inquired about a specific out-the-door number, our General Manager responded to you directly. He explicitly stated that we could not lower the price further because we already had the cheapest car within 500 miles, and he clearly told you that the $620.79 fee would be in addition to that price. You knew this number before any paperwork was finalized. Missouri Compliance Regulations: The $620.79 administrative fee is handled in strict compliance with Missouri Department of Revenue Regulations. Under Missouri RSMo § 301.558, dealerships are legally required to declare their administrative fee at the beginning of the licensing period and must charge that exact same declared fee to all retail customers. Waiving it or changing it for an individual buyer is a direct violation of state compliance rules. Used Car Expectations: This is a pre-owned vehicle, not a brand-new one. Used cars naturally carry minor cosmetic wear like rock chips and scratches. While a video walkthrough is an excellent tool that encapsulates the vast majority of a vehicle's overall condition, a digital recording cannot capture every single microscopic imperfection. Our Commitment: We are truly sorry that you feel this way about your experience. However, our team was entirely honest, straightforward, and transparent with you from the start. You received a top-tier deal on a quality vehicle that you could not find anywhere else in your region. We wish you the best with your new vehicle.
