Dead Battery As if Covid-19, power outage and riots in the streets are not enough to deal with, the car died. Excellent Technically and Very Easy To Work With I have been coming here for 5 years ever since they checked out an '08 Pilot I then bought from Chevy Dealer down the road from Clinton. They have co I have been coming here for 5 years ever since they checked out an '08 Pilot I then bought from Chevy Dealer down the road from Clinton. They have consistently provided very comprehensive, accurate, sharp multipoint inspections (usually while doing an oil change), and then explain what they found, and what problems revealed in that assessment need fixing and what do not. An example of their accuracy was spotting a leaking seam on my radiator by spotting some almost out of sight dried fluid/crystals that an otherwise excellent, nearby local mechanic missed until I showed him. An example of what's not needed: With their heavy Honda experience they could say, No, you dont need to spend 3K to disassemble your axles to replace rusting heat shields that were making moderate and upsetting rubbing noises on turns. They could just bend them away from the rolling parts of the car. Another example of what's not needed is, that though your front end bushings dont meet factory specs which they tell you are not up to factory specs, they also tell you you dont need to replace them at cost of $700. (PS There's no sloppiness steering / driving the car). An example of Pricing: I took their written estimate for the multiple work items needed to bringing the car up to snuff after I bought it to a major chain's mechanic. The major chain stated they would do the work for the same price but by dropping two items they deemed as not necessary- fluid changes. Given that I planned to keep this car, I gave the business to Clinton. PS Whenever I go there I ask and they apply any coupon discount they have. So, their inspections' accuracy, experience backed integrity in explaining to me what is needed to be fixed and what is not, and their competitive pricing against non-dealers is why I drive to them once a year and get everything done there, if at all possible. Having to go only once a year may be helped by the '08 Pilot being the best Pilot ever made(statistically or just being a Honda. This experience beats every other car I have owned. The only exceptions to not going there just annually were I had to do schedule for the heat shields making noises and getting the radiator replaced locally due to family issues before it burst/leaked big time. More
