It is always easy and nice to wait for your car at this dealership. It is clean and there are plenty of snacks and WiFi. Always someone to talk to in the waiting area. I have never left anything but a 5 star review for this dealership but on my most recent visit, I was discouraged and disappointed. I had an emergency since the tire pressure light came on and I could hear dealership but on my most recent visit, I was discouraged and disappointed. I had an emergency since the tire pressure light came on and I could hear that there was an issue with the right passenger tire. I was at Coastal at opening and Bob wanted to know if I had an appointment. I explained the emergency and he told me how far in advance appointments were being made and that I’d have to leave the car all day. He dismissed my observation that there was a problem with the rear passenger tire and said nothing looked low. He got in the car to confirm that the light was on. When he walked around again he called me around to see a bolt the size of my thumb in the tire. He continued in that negative tone making statements about the availability of a replacement. It was a very demeaning encounter and quite disappointing. The car was kept until 4:00 pm and the tire replaced. I used the shuttle to get to and from work. More

As always our recent two hour roundtrip to Wilmington for service at Coastal Kia was well worth it. While on the grounds we enjoyed the plenteous courtesy snacks and beverages, wi-fi and television and magazines. All that is standard at Coastal; it’s the extra attention that satisfies, however. We’ve never been there that Pat the owner didn’t personally appear in the showroom to at least flash a smile if busy, as he did this visit, but most always a kind word or even conversation. This time around I was especially aware of some new young, hungry faces; the next generation of men and women who are our future: willing and wanting to work to make our country’s economy flourish. I enjoyed interacting with as many as I could without making myself an Old-man nuisance. One such rising star was Joshua La Bron. He went out of his way to share his story of making Coastal Kia his livelihood. His personality and professionalism, at such a young age, let me know he will do his part to keep Coastal Kia at the top of every chart in the Automotive industry. My salesman for my most recent of many Kia purchases was also there: Kelvin Swinson. It is always good to hear from him any new innovations that may lead to our next trade, but also feel the confidence that remains in him that our purchase was not just a notch on his belt, but the real blessing to us we wanted and need our primary vehicle to be. We feel that confidence because it’s projected by him, Pat, and Coastal Kia’s greatest asset, John Wigger. From the first time we stepped on the lot in 2019, it was John who gave me his word that I would get good service on the fourth, fifth and now sixth of the Kia’s we have purchased in a row. We came in a 2015 Sportage for service, having moved from the Raleigh area, but drove off the lot in a brand new Soul. When we traded that Soul for another Sportage, the service was seamless, always relying on John for advice.
