After ordering a duplicate key, I called within 3 hours of placing my $400 order in person. They first said they can surely refund it. They called back afterwards saying keys particularly cannot be refunde of placing my $400 order in person. They first said they can surely refund it. They called back afterwards saying keys particularly cannot be refunded. There was no disclaimer of this policy. I asked to speak to Service Manager, Rusty, who said "yeah sucks, nothing I can do about it". They dont want to take accountability for not warning me of this policy. He said "there's a sign on the Parts desk that says no refunds on parts". This is an insult to my intelligence because the sign says "no cash refunds" only. In short, they don't want to take ownership of their lack of transparency and offered no economical compromise other than a $120 voucher on an oil change. I couldve been coming 3 times a year for regular service but I guess they'd rather rob me. More
Even though there is a dealership much closer to me (where I purchased my car), I make the drive to Medford because the customer service is always on point. (where I purchased my car), I make the drive to Medford because the customer service is always on point. More
Paul Lazzaro was amazing! So patient and helpful and really had our best interests at heart! We came in for a chat and left with 2 cars and couldn’t be happier with him! I bought my car at Colonial in 2021 and it's generally been good experiences, but my last two visits over the last 2 years have been pretty poor in terms of customer service and maintenance. Last year been good experiences, but my last two visits over the last 2 years have been pretty poor in terms of customer service and maintenance. Last year I brought my car in with some check engine lights. The dealer wasn't able to diagnose (not their fault I guess codes had not been present anymore?) but they had charged me for diagnosis even though my warranty had expired less than a month prior. Sure it's expired and I shouldn't knock them for sticking to their guns I guess, but come on less than a month? I even bought my car with you and purchased years of prepaid services. Apparently that means nothing. Fast forward to this year. I again have a check engine light on. It's around the same time as my prepaid 50k service so I book an appointment for both. I'm given barely any explanation or details about my engine light other than a 4sec clip from the technician and a half xxx explanation from the service rep that I have some code about low air flow to bay one, and it requires an entire cylinder head replacement. A freaking entire CYLINDER HEAD on a car with right around 46K miles! Quoted at over $5K. Car seems to drive fine so obviously I ask if there is possibly other options. I'm told that not really and this is the only way to guarantee a solution. Crazy. Whatever, I'll shop around a bit and get another opinion. I'll also mention that my regular 50K service checks were all green, including my brakes. Now I've gotten a second opinion and turns out it was a $400 fix mostly in labor. Simply cleaning out a valve fixed the issue. Furthermore this independent shop informs me that my rear brake rotors and pads are far past their life and I need to replace. The guys not taking advantage of me he just thinks they are getting close to replacement. I'm just so beyond frustrated with Colonial after these experiences. It bothers me that neither the tech or service rep seemed to want to look out for me. They didn't even visually inspect the valve that caused my code. For them it was a simple code check and immediately to a cylinder head replacement. Zero due diligence before jumping to that conclusion. I'm also frustrated that my 50k service doesn't even inform me that my brakes are in a bad state. xxxx I would've paid colonial to fix them! Nope, green check mark you're on your way. Rant over. Frustrated with Colonial and probably won't be going back. More
Great service and treatment. I will switch from bad “Boston VW” service for this dealership; good here, bad there. I will switch from bad “Boston VW” service for this dealership; good here, bad there. More
Serviced the car timely, no delays and explaining what they did. Also reported future services that are needed, so they are pro-active in car's maintenance . they did. Also reported future services that are needed, so they are pro-active in car's maintenance . More
Pleasant transaction. A few items with vehicle were noticed and corrected immediately before the sale with no push back. A few items with vehicle were noticed and corrected immediately before the sale with no push back. More
