I am in Florida but my car was shipped there for service. At my local dealer they told me too bad so sad (Schumacher of West Palm Beach) and I had to call corporate in order for them to look at it. Then they said they shipped it to Boston and would not tell me where for service. I called all over Boston until I called Colonial of Medford, they were able to locate it at this dealer. We bought an e-golf in Florida and apparently it was not supposed to be sold in this state but here we are. We wanted another electric car, as I drive a Nissan Leaf and its a big money saver. We did not know it could not be serviced here. We have talked to Bill McGrath too and he was very respectful and let me know the car was there. After talking with our service advisor Jon Lacey (I think thats how you spell his name) he told me that the engineer needed to work on it. He updated us every step of the way. He knew this was along process. Because of what it was and it had to be shipped on VW's dime, the regional engineer had to be the one to work on it. I did call weekly for updates, as it did take a long time. We had to rent a car in order to keep up with our family's usual activities. It was John who suggested to me to call corporate and they reimbursed me all rental fees because of this mess. The high voltage battery and other electric related parts needed to be replaced. Thank you for being so patient with us, as we were without it for 6 months and doing such a great job on it. I arrived here in West Palm yesterday and my husband couldn't be happier.It even gained 20 miles of driving range. He does apologize for the mess that some of the kids left in the back seat. You all have been great but let's hope we don't have to have the car shipped to you again. More
