After getting the car home, in better lighting I noticed a blue scuff on my dash near were the air bag work was done and a noticable scratch on my glove box door that wasn't there before. I am meticulous about keeping my car in good condition and now there are blemishes on the interior that I'm not sure I can remove. More

Some miscommunication This is the first time that I walked away from an experience with Columbia Ford where I was not satisfied. I had $1, 600 worth of work done on my wife This is the first time that I walked away from an experience with Columbia Ford where I was not satisfied. I had $1, 600 worth of work done on my wife's SUV, which may have affected my mood a bit, anyway. However, when I was reviewing the paperwork for the repairs I was told that the original issue, a light signaling either a battery deficiency or an electrical system issue, was not able to be clearly diagnosed as the light did not come on when the service department ran the vehicle. I was told that the alternator was replaced as a possible solution. This service, along with a timing belt issue, were originally presented to me as dire needs, along with $1,900 more work on the vehicle. In fact, I had directly asked the service person I spoke to on the phone first if these two fixes were dire. He said they were. Perhaps this was just miscommunication. Also, the service department did an oil change on the vehicle without asking me. The service was necessary, but I was not informed that this would be done. In fact, the gentleman who explained my bill categorized the service as minor in comparison to the price of the other work done on the vehicle. I was somewhat put out by this, It sounded like, 'Hey, you already sunk over fifteen hundred dollars into the vehicle. What's another twenty or thirty bucks?" It is more than I wished to spend. Finally, as I was waiting for my vehicle to be brought to me, I noticed that Ford offers a credit card with 0% interest for the first year if one puts at least $500 worth of work on their vehicle. This would have been good for me in this situation, but I was not offered the card. In fact, when I mentioned that I wish I had known about this offer, the gentleman helping me didn't seem to grasp my disappointment. I was then disappointed. As I said above, this is the first time that I can say that I was disappointed with an interaction with Columbia Ford. I have had very good experiences with this dealership and with the service department in the past. I will continue to come back to Columbia Ford, though this is strike one in our relationship. More
