On Wednesday of this week I brought my 2002 Forester to your dealership to have an evaluation done of its condition, being that it has 112,900 miles on it and is 21 years old! I had taken the vehicle to R your dealership to have an evaluation done of its condition, being that it has 112,900 miles on it and is 21 years old! I had taken the vehicle to Rafferty the previous week and they told me to: (1) replace the entire exhaust system; (2) replace the clutch; (3) replace the front axle seals (inner); (4) replace the serpentine and AC belts; (5) replace the gaskets on both the heads and valve covers. Mark Rogers was the adviser at Concordville. He told me the only thing I should do was replace the gaskets! I've scheduled an appointment for 11 May to have the gaskets replaced and to get a PA state inspection. I'm also going to have your people replace the belts since they're the original equipment ... unless Mark tells me that he thinks that isn't necessary. My only criticism is that I would have liked to have had a written estimate (parts and labor) for the replacement of the gaskets for the heads and valve covers. The one thing that Rafferty did properly was provide me with a very detailed estimate listing every part and the times required to do each repair. I know that with a vehicle of this age there may be unforeseen problems with repairs, but a written estimate would have given me some peace of mind. I would appreciate it if you could provide me with a basic written estimate. Just email it to me. More

Two issues first was when I went to pick up the car the battery was dead they did the right thing and offered to get me a new battery and gave me a loaner for a day it was interesting however they asked me battery was dead they did the right thing and offered to get me a new battery and gave me a loaner for a day it was interesting however they asked me to pay for the gas which was 13 so no big deal but still the second issue is that and this is partly my fault when I was checking out the car and we were getting ready for a test drive I did not personally open the passenger front door I noticed a few days later since I’m single and don’t use the door much but when I did use the door it has a buckling sound and I also noticed after rains the passenger front headlight miss up inside this all leads to an alignment issue which leads to this was in an accident that was unreported and repaired now my comment would be is the sales guy who got in the passenger door had to hear the noise and should’ve known what it meant no one said a word to me probably still would’ve bought the car but again if they didn’t once over on that course someone should’ve caught this and should’ve mentioned it otherwise they were nice people and they did a decent job with the paperwork etc. More
