I had to call a request a detailed printout of service performance. One week later, same sensor issue still happening on my Ford Explorer that I paid to be replaced. Friendly enough staff, just not detailed in parts and breakdown to customer for services rendered. That being said, and being I need more service done on my Explorer. I will NOT be returning. Excellent service, professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. Very poor policies regarding service bulletin associated issues. I had a Service Manager inspect the hood of my 2017 Ford Explorer to exam courteous. Very poor policies regarding service bulletin associated issues. I had a Service Manager inspect the hood of my 2017 Ford Explorer to examine extreme “white powder” bubbling on the front portion of the hood. He stated that Ford has covered the replacement of these hoods because it is a known defect. He later informed me that replacement of the hood would not be covered because my vehicle was beyond the replacement period. Further investigation on my part revealed that Ford issued a Technical Service Bulletin (19-2026 – “Aluminum Panel Corrosion” issued 06 February 2019) which recommends panel replacement. It seems deceptive to me that Ford, knowing of the defect enough to issue a service bulletin, would not inform me of the defect earlier (All my service is conducted regularly at the dealer). It is extremely disappointing to me that Ford is not covering this defect which has been kept a secret (at least to their customers). I have been a devoted Ford customer for over 40 years, and I will likely not purchase another Ford product due to this experience. More
