An unexpected buy I had looked at Nissan cars because they seemed to be a better price. But after dealing with a Nissan agent who didn't care about finding the car I wanted and was insinsting that I got a car that didn't have any of the wants I mentioned to him, I was disappointed that I wasn't going to find a car. Later on my dad showed me a Mirage which we made an appointment Wednesday afternoon. But since we had half an hr extra my husband convinced me to checking out Toyota. Eric Lahl, is an amazing salesman.He took the time to give me all of my options and was never pushy.I got a brand new car that I LOVE and can afford. He even took the time to make sure I knew how everything worked and was set up properly. I highly recommend Eric Lahl. It was worth the 45 minute drive to get there and couldn't be anymore pleased. HORRBLE SERVICE DEPT !!! Took my car in for a radiator repair, transmission fluid change and vehicle inspection. Service Rep calls and states water pump needs to be replaced i Took my car in for a radiator repair, transmission fluid change and vehicle inspection. Service Rep calls and states water pump needs to be replaced i said ok, radiator not covered under extended warranty, ok. Rep states your steering rack is leaking, and you need a new high pressure hose. 1700 for new rack, without labor, which i declined. Now allegedly a leaking steering rack is an automatic failure on inspection in New York state, did not know that. What's funny, power steering fluid reservoir has never been low or empty. Now they decided to remove inspection sticker from car. They did not issue a temporary. So now when speaking to service mgr. about inspection sticker i explain that now you have put me in a position to get a summons. His reply was you might get a summons or maybe the officer will give you a break and to tell the officer that the part has to be ordered. In checking the steering rack, it appears that it is not leaking power steering fluid, but what is on the steering boot/bellow is old gear oil and some dirt that was left there from the last repair they did at DCH Toyota, which was the replacement of the front differential and front axle. The previous differential was leaking gear oil profusely all over the front end of the vehicle. Were they just trying to force me into replacing a steering rack that i don't need ??????????? Now I am left with a vehicle that i cant drive until I can get and appointment at another shop. This could have been handled differently. On a positive note when I need help with extended warranty Nick Palmas helped me out twice. Maybe he should run service dept...... More
