No callback regarding status after 4-5 hrs. My appt was at 8:30AM. The van was dropped off at that time for recall work. It was approx 1PM when I called the service dept & asked for Evan. Replacing a mirror Brought the car in for the 2 year service. Had it inspected while there. Found passenger side mirror cracked. Told inspection required replacement. Next day, found that the new mirror was damaged after I had traveled to the shop. Told to come in next day (Saturday). Next day, clips on mirror broke during installation. Told to come in on Tuesday. On Tuesday, mirror was installed. I suggested that in view of all the trouble I had, I should get a discount. And, by golly, they gave me about a 25% discount, which I appreciated greatly. My problem is with the person I spoke with when I initially called to schedule the s My comments here have nothing to do with Kathleen, who was great. My problem is with the person I spoke with when I initially called to schedule the service . I asked why the car was being recalled and was told it was an electrical problem and would take about 3 - 3 1/2 hours to complete. However, I learned that there was no electrical problem, just an updating of software. Given the commitments and responsibilities I have, I found it difficult to schedule this service but felt it was important since an electrical issue could cause serious problems. So, when I learned that it was just a software update, I was not happy to put it mildly. Also, the information I had said there was a car wash included. That, also, was false information. In addition, it seemed that I was brought in there in the hopes I would have some work done on my car. It was no surprise that a filter needed changing, which I did not do. More
