Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience. It is my understanding that you were given the option to reinstall your engine, but you declined because of additional costs that were involved. As you are aware we disassembled your engine in order to determine the failure and after you were denied assistance by Hyundai you decided to have the car towed out in its current form. Wade, thanks for the response. Unfortunately, you are incorrect. When I contacted Dean Team and had my car towed to your facility, I was told there was a $270 charge to run a diagnostic charge to see if I qualified for an engine replacement. I was denied and proceeded to request a goodwill claim with Hyundai USA. Hyundai USA asked your technician to provide additional details to support the goodwill claim. After this was complete, I was again denied by Hyundai USA for an engine replacement. I was then informed by the service advisor if I was not having a new $8900 engine installed, I would need to have my car towed off the lot or I would be charged a daily fee for storage on the lot. I had my car towed that day. I was never informed anything about the state of my engine. Furthermore, why would I have to pay to have my engine put back together, shouldn't the expectation be that the car is returned to me in the state it was delivered to the service department of Dean Team? A very disappointing response from you and your department. That is why I have filed a claim with the Attorney General of Missouri. Shame on you for putting this on me.
