Thank you Erin! I hate buying cars. The process is typically exhausting, stressful, and painful on my wallet. This time around, I decided I was going to do ALL my res I hate buying cars. The process is typically exhausting, stressful, and painful on my wallet. This time around, I decided I was going to do ALL my research ahead of time (make/model/extras/test drives), figure out the price I'd be willing to pay, then only talk to the sales personnel via email or text. I just HATE being "wheeled and dealed." When we were ready, I emailed multiple VW internet sales managers/personnel within about a 50 mile radius from our home. Some responded and told me I was being unreasonable with my requested price and tried to educate me on how this all works. They were out immediately because I don't take kindly to condescending emails. It quickly came down to 2 dealers who were willing to work with me. Erin stood out immediately because her emails were kind, responsive, genuine, and not at all condescending. We went back and forth on just a handful of emails before agreeing on a price that the competition was unwilling to meet. We ended up paying slightly more than my original offer, but I was ok with it because Erin earned the business. Upon meeting to pick up the car yesterday, there were no games and no additional upselling. I am in sales myself and can respect her approach from a service perspective rather than a sales perspective. Building relationships is what gets a sale and she excelled at connecting and resonating with the customer as a real person, not your typical salesperson.
