They do what it takes My normal service rep, Doug Waltz, was on vacation, but he arranged ahead of time for Pete Ort to take good care of me in his place. I always get GREAT service, but this time was exceptional. I've been having problems with my AC system and this was the second service visit for that problem. Dave, the service technician who always works on my vehicle, came into the waiting area to listen to my first-hand experience with the problem, then kept me informed of all the things he was doing to find the problem and correct it. It turns out that this issue wasn't one that the Honda service forums had seen before, though the Don Ayres crew recently had the exact problem with another vehicle in the same model year. They not only figured out and solved the problem, they were going to share that information with the rest of the Honda service community so others could benefit from their knowledge. I cannot stress enough how impressed I was with Dave and the rest of the Honda service crew at Don Ayres. They're always courteous, efficient and helpful, but now that I understand the detail-orientation and commitment they have to helping me have the best Honda experience I can, I'm even more impressed. Thank you all! More

Brakes not needed-SCAM When getting my oil changed 2 weeks ago, Don Ayers told me all 4 brakes needed to be replaced as they are at 2mm, well below the recommended. From pri When getting my oil changed 2 weeks ago, Don Ayers told me all 4 brakes needed to be replaced as they are at 2mm, well below the recommended. From prior experience, the Honda dealership is at least 2X the cost at other places for their Honda certified brakes. As a single mom, I can't afford that. Therefore, I have another technician who works on my cars, so I took it to him. He said my brakes were at 5mm, and would not need replaced for at least 6 months. I then took my car to Sears to have my tires rotated (bought my tires there) and they agreed that the brakes didn't need replaced. They said they would check them again at my next rotation (6k miles). It seems Honda was trying to get me to buy something that I didn't need. My next step is to report this to BBB. Not sure if this happens to everyone, but as a woman I feel like they might be taking advantage of me. More
Best Salesman Experience This was our 2nd car purchase in a year. The first time we stepped into the "car buying" process we were not having any luck with dealership's or sale This was our 2nd car purchase in a year. The first time we stepped into the "car buying" process we were not having any luck with dealership's or salesmen. They were rude and did not take us seriously based on our age. However, that all changed when we stepped on the lot at Don Ayres. It was late, around 7:45 p.m. and they closed at 8:00. Shawn came out to greet us, and offered to let us test drive a civic. We were shocked because at other dealerships they were even ruder near closing time. Long story short, Shawn stayed with us thru a job change, and the time we wanted to wait for the new civic body style. He was amazing thru all our questions and concerns. So when the time came for our 2nd car purchase, it was even easier to tell him what we wanted (car/price wise) and he made this process even easier than the first. Which I did not think was possible. We will not be going anywhere else but Don Ayres. They treat you with respect, and above all that is what matters. Thank you Shawn and Don Ayres!! More
