They ruined my daughters first car buying experience! SHAME. Our saga with Dover Honda is still ongoing possibly may end up in a legal action’s TBD. So here I go: My daughter had our old car which died a few da Our saga with Dover Honda is still ongoing possibly may end up in a legal action’s TBD. So here I go: My daughter had our old car which died a few days ago, so we've been online shopping for a decent used car for her she's 20 still my baby. We found one in our price range on Cargurus from Dover Honda, since this was like an emergency on our end we drove 90 miles one way to try to close the deal we live in MA. This is where things got mess up, the sale lady was really nice, and so was the finance guy I explained to them that I was teaching her to be self-sufficient... and that was her first official new car to her... Got there around closing time and we closed the deal we did not even had time to test drive the car, but my kid fell in love with it and its a Honda so what Daddy to do? She told us that the car would not be available for a couple of days that they had to clean it and do registration... Fast forward to the day we were supposed to pick up the Car (Day 3) no body called, so I call them; like some of the previous reviewers had stated I got this secretary who seems clueless, took my name and told me someone would get back to me within the hour, two, three hours gone by no calls! Finally two days later (Day 5) after me calling three to five times and getting frustrated I got a call from the sale lady stating that they were waiting for Title to come in and they have expedite it and that we should be able to get the car on Monday (Day 6); I asked her why was this info not made clear to us the day of the sale? She said that she was not told this info until now (strange but okay!). Monday comes (Day 6) again no calls, I called to speak to the sales manager they put me through what seems a general voice mailbox, again no reply. Tuesday (Day 7) I got a call from a different Lady which did not identify herself; she told me that she investigated the matter that the Title will not be available for another two to three weeks and I should cancel the sale and that she had nothing further. I was angry so called our Lawyer who told me to document all and wait to see how they will make this right. Writing today on Friday (Day 9) Still no calls communication NONE! We wait! Looking at some of the postings seems that their protocol is to say sorry we will do better, and they really don't! I am starting to get the feeling that some of the high ratings maybe from their own employees since they are employee owned! Will post again once I get the resolution! More
