From the moment I first spoke with him on the phone I felt certain that we were going to get not only the exact model, color and features in the car we were looking for but also the best deal. He answered all our questions and from the moment we got to the dealer he made us feel welcomed. His patience and sense of humor along with the way he dealt with us made our buying experience the best so far. He drove 60 miles round trip to another dealer to get us the exact car we wanted and stayed with us until 8:30pm showing us all the car features and setting my wife's phone to the car for the drive back home. I was in the market for a good used car for business purposes and it so happened that a family member who was in Scottsdale came across Earnhardt. They had a 2011 Genesis with low milage that was so clean it actually looked NEW. A few text messages and emails later... the car was being shipped directly to my home in Ohio..! The car turned out to be much nicer than expected...what can I say... those of us that live in the midwest know what to expect from a car after 3 winters and tons of rock salt. This Genesis looked like it was driven off the showroom floor yesterday. I've already had 2 offers to buy the car from people in the office. Lessons learned: First, car buyers in the midwest should be open to new ideas...buy the car in Arizona and ship it! Second, find a dealership that is easily to partner with and which has some of the best follow up skills I've ever experienced...ignore all others including on-line car shopping... He overcame our objections by providing information and, although persistent, was never pushy. The negotiation process was informative and never overbearing. The entire staff was patient and provided great information. we had not planned to finance our purchase but Mark Tharp provided a financing program that made sense and we ended up purchasing the vehicle that we wanted, a week earlier than we had planned.
