I enjoyed my experience in buying my first Toyota with Elk Grove Toyota. I worked with a sales and leasing consultant who is not listed on here named Eddie Mendez. I've already recommended a couple of people to Eddie for his great work ethic in getting things done at the dealership. From the very first impression I had with Eddie, I knew I was in good hands in securing a specific Tacoma from the dealership. I trusted Eddie from the jump and knew I was going to make a review like this in the future after securing my first truck. I would recommend anyone to Eddie especially the younger population who have no idea what it's like to pull up to the dealership and have the typical worries of how to swerve around negotiations. Eddie is a straight up dude and will make you comfortable in securing the deal that's safe for your peace of mind. One last shoutout to the financial manager, Samir Khan, who helped me out in the final steps of securing my truck. Similar to Eddie, Samir was trustworthy from the jump and I immediately knew how experienced he was in the financial department. Samir made the financial process go smooth and satisfactory in getting the right numbers for my payments. No run arounds just straight up business and that's what Elk Grove Toyota's finest Eddie Mendez and Samir Khan have successfully done with my first time buying experience. Don't go anywhere else! Customer service is terrible here. Dropped my car off to be worked on, received numerous calls typically back to back with no voice mail at all. I call back and say I have missed calls from this number only to be asked who are you looking for and what department.. great question.. Finally I get ahold of service they have found the issue with my vehicle it’ll be X amount more to fix it over the general inspection and diagnostic. Was asked if I authorize the purchase and the cost. I agreed to have them order the part. Was told it would be in the next day. 3 hours later received a phone call back saying actually a technician looked at your vehicle and it’s not what we thought it’s actually something else. It’ll be 7 times the cost of what we just told you. You shouldn’t call a customer tell them you found out what’s wrong with the vehicle get authorization to order parts for it then call them back to tell them an actual technician looked at your vehicle and it’s not what we guessed it was.. who looked at my vehicle the first time? I asked about the condition of the vehicle and what other inspections they did so I don’t feel robbed for the inspection and terrible diagnostics I’d be charged for. Was told you have new tires they look great. Wow fabulous job guys above and beyond you noticed i had brand new tires. I would not recommend this place for service to anyone More
I would leave one star but I'm not that type of human. It seems that everytime I go to the elkgrove Toyota location it never takes just one trip to complete whatever service I am requesting. Not sure what that's about.. this last trip I requested my oil change because the sticker they left on the windshield said it was due and since I am taking a trip to Mexico I figured I would get the vehicle in top shape. So I called and requested it along with the multipoint inspection that automatically comes with it. They said there was a recall so they would take care of that too. When I got there the tech says it still has about a thousand miles until oil change is needed, I said yes but the date is over so I wanted it done (not feeling like I needed to explain to him my vacation plans) I arranged my own transportation and it's not easy with kids in school and taking time off for this stuff. When I picked up the car he said sign here everything's done , here is a slip for DMV Incase they question the recall, gave me my keys. I go outside to wait for my car,look over the paperwork and nowhere does it say they changed the oil. I go inside and he says I didn't need it. What? I specifically brought it in for an oil change.."it's not quite due yet" he says.. I did not take off the entire day and arrange all of this inconvenient transportation just so I could have to bring the car back for an oil change next time and how are they going to do this multipoint inspection when I still need the oil change anyways!?? I was furious I walked out of the office went home got on the phone of course the manager David or whatever his name is wasn't there he was at lunch so I left a message and he called me back and I have to admit it was the worst customer service or support I've received the man spoke over me the entire time would not listen whatsoever, he made it so I don't ever want to go back to the dealership again there at this location, I asked if he could annotate my issue in the records or give me some type of written complaint and he refused he said if I wanted to I could bring in my manual and he will write in when my oil changes are due... So rude and disrespectful. This is the management they choose to employ! Thank you but no Thank you! All they had to do was tell me the oil wasn't due when I called in and I would not have brought it until it was. Period. More
