Since ownershop of 2018 vehicle windshield wipers have chopped across window, service center cannot repair them or know why it happens. The advisors are very nice but how do I know the mechanics have done a good job? I can’t see them while they are working on my car. There are no pictures or videos. How do I know that they are not mechanics have done a good job? I can’t see them while they are working on my car. There are no pictures or videos. How do I know that they are not creating future problems so that I have to bring my BMW back for service? I’ve always wondered about how honest mechanics really are. How do we really know what they are doing to our vehicle when it’s in the service center? Btw, I paid $1900 for front and rear brake pads and rotors. I was hoping it would be covered under the 50k warranty but since I am the 2nd owner, my car is not eligible. Before that I took my car in to Ferman and they replaced a dead battery and performed a routine oil change. Everything seemed fine but the next day, the “service due” and “oil level is dangerously low” messages appeared. I took it back in and they said that they must of forgot to reset the message center. It made me worry because that does not add up. What if they changed the battery out, drained the oil but forgot to add oil? Or what if they did not perform it all? From what I understand, the diagnostic monitoring system on BMW are very sensitive and accurate so why would it read that way if they performed an oil change. The staff there is amazing but it’s very difficult to get a hold of anyone in Service Department by phone. More
