POOR COMMUNICATION Purchased this certified preowned vehicle from Ferman. We worked with a salesman who is no longer employed. We shared our interest in this vehicle, Purchased this certified preowned vehicle from Ferman. We worked with a salesman who is no longer employed. We shared our interest in this vehicle, but questioned a ticking noise we heard from the hood. We were assured that this was normal for this particular make and model. We went ahead and purchased upon the terms that we would not take immediate delivery, as the salesman was going to have the noise checked by the service department and perform some minor paint touch ups. At our first service appointment (app. 3500 miles) we stressed Our concern that this noise was getting worse with time and we also had a major clunking noise coming from the front left side of the vehicle. We were told immediately by the service tech that the ticking noise was not normal at all, and is a very common drive shaft issue being found with the Chrysler 300, which the salesman should have known and advised. There were no shop records to validate that this issue was checked on our vehicle prior, as we were informed. As for the front end noise, it was determined to have been bad struts. Due to the unfair circumstances, we sought help from the used sales manager. The lifter repairs was covered under warranty. They agreed to waive the diagnostic fee and cover the replacement of both struts. The manager stated that perhaps these things were overlooked when the car was taken in and reviewed for resale. These items were not indicated as faulty on the checklist we were provided with at time of sale. As of today, ticking noise has been resolved, however we still have noise coming from the front end. Tried reaching our service person ((ED) for some time and was told that he was on vacation and a note would be forwarded for him to get back to us ASAP. Tried to schedule an appointment via the service line and no one answers. Left voicemail messages for service and to date, no returned calls. Tried to follow up via the automated text line , no response received. Finally today, we headed straight to the dealership to learn that we were AGAIN provided with bad information as our service tech was no longer employed with Ferman. We were told that service could not tend to us right away because we had no appointment (which we could not get a hold of someone to make). So we were taken home by their courtesy driver and are awaiting a phone call. Obviously the struts were not the only problem as the issue remains. More
