I had just visited another dealer, spent almost two hours there, and offered them essentially the same offer made to Five Star Ford for the very same truck build. They rejected my final offer. I called Jeff Smith while still in the other dealer's parking lot and made him the same offer and within five minutes while I waited on the phone he had approval for the purchase. The only thing left to do was get my vehicle appraised by them for the price I required. I drove straight to Five Star and within 15-20 minutes of getting there my vehicle was approved for the trade-in price I wanted. Shortly after, I took delivery of my new truck. I have bought many vehicles over the years and met some really top notch salespeople and sales managers and I would rank Jeff Smith, Joe Vasquez, and the person Jeff reports to right at the top. The Wife Loves our NEW EXPLORER ! It was time to look for a new vehicle to replace our aging 2007 Ford Edge. The old Ford had served us well. It just didn't have all the new electronics and safety features available in the 2018's. So being extremely happy with our last three Ford products , we didn't take long to decide that our next new vehicle would also be a Ford. After a little research we decided on a Ford Explorer. Easy choice. Next to locate a dealer who we could Trust! A dealer that would Sell us a car without forcing a bunch of Dealer Add-ons. WE live in Rowlett so we looked at a few local Ford dealers first, Most didn't have a car on the lot without a $1000 of worthless add-ons like nitrogen in the tires for $250 extra. So we expanded our search futher away , 55 miles away to be exact. That is where we found Five Star Ford, An Honest Dealership with reputation to match. My Wife was 1 step closer to having her dream car in the driveway.. Next I needed a salesperson to help guide us in our quest for that perfect Explorer. That Salesperson was Johnny Birdwell, he was extremely friendly and very Knowledgeable with almost 30 years in the Industry. Johnny reviewed all the different packages and options with us. With his help, We decided on Explorer Sport Edition. Five Star Ford had a huge inventory and Johnny knew where ever Explprer that fit our choices was parked. After Johnny showed us several different Explorers the wife knew exactly what she wanted down to the color of the Explorer emblems on the Car. She had her dream Ruby Red Explorer Sport with dual moon roof, black leather air conditioned seats with red trim, all the fancy new electronics and safety features, the exact exhaust flairs she wanted, the 360 cameras, crash avoidance with or without a rear center console picked out. The only problem was even with Five Star Ford of Richland Hills vast inventory no such Explorer was on their lot. That is when Johnny Birdwell went to work for us to find the "EXACT" Explorer Sport she dreamed of at another dealership in the Five Star Ford Family. Johnny had it ready for us to sign the paperwork the next business day but we could not make it since I was out of town for work. Johnny Birdwell even offered to drop the wife's Dream car off at our house. We thanked him for the offer but decided to picked it up the next weekend. And that my Friend is how Johnny Birdwell helped me make my Wife Happy! More
