My first visit to Germain BMW for service. It was easy to schedule the appointment online and there were a number of available days and times. My needs were simple, oil change and brake fluid flush. The check in process was fast and they provided the service requested quickly. They recommended new tires which was no surprise and their quote was lower than Tire Rack my normal source. All in all a good experience with reasonable prices. More

Dealership was far away from my home but they reached out to my email after noticing I was looking at BMW promotional ads on internet. Since, I was having trouble with another dealership that didn't seem to to my email after noticing I was looking at BMW promotional ads on internet. Since, I was having trouble with another dealership that didn't seem to want my business; failed to pay attention to their own negotiations and repeatedly left me waiting while the manager pulled the salesman away to meet other customers, I decided to pull my deposit and found everything I wanted and needed at Germain. Every single person, I met at Germain gave me their undevided attention. I feel good about my deal with Germain! More
I took delivery of a BMW X5 xDrive50e and immediately had a check engine light. The car had a faulty charge control unit and I was told a replacement part would not be available for about a month. I am writing to inform any potential buyers what a terrible experience I have had in purchasing an $80,000 BMW from Germain. I purchased the vehicle and for expedience I financed through the dealership. It was not until I sat down with the finance manager at BMW South, that I was told my interest rate was 8.9% and that I had to hold the loan for at least 6 months, or I would suffer a pre-payment penalty. I spoke with the lender Bank of America, and they assured me that was not the case. Since I found and interest rate of 4.9%, I wanted to switch over to them, but I have been unable to do so as I still have not received my title or registration and I purchased the car on 2/24/23. In the last 3 1/2 months I have placed several calls to the dealership (both North & South) and have never received a return phone call from any of the people I have left a message for. I called BMW South and tried to speak with the finance manager who was always on a call or was busy with a client and could not speak with me to advise me when I could expect my registration and title. I even asked to speak with the General Manager at BMW South and instead of connecting me to him they sent me to his voicemail, I hung up in frustration as even he wouldn't accept a customer's call. I called and texted with my salesperson and could not get a reply or a call back from him either. After my frustration had reached a peak, I tried calling their North store and asked to speak with Elaine as she was the person responsible for handling my registration and title. I left multiple messages for her asking to please call me and update me on the status as this had been going on for over 2 months. I never received 1 call back from her over the last 2-3 months, I finally spoke to my salesperson, and he supplied me with her direct extension which I called several times and always got voicemail. So, I asked to speak to the general manager (BMW North), and he was good enough to take my call. After my phone call with him, I finally received a response from the finance manager I dealt with who informed me that my ID Card had expired and that was the reason for the holdup, but no one requested an updated one from me to correct the problem. I sent them the updated card and he informed me I would have everything within 2-3 weeks that was in early April. If anyone actually has/does buy a car from Germain and has to deal with Elaine, all I can say is good luck. I own a business in NY and if she was my employee she would be out of a job. No customer should have to leave multiple messages for an employee and not receive a courtesy call back. After trying to speak with Elaine again today I was told again she was unavailable. When I had asked in the past to hold or be transferred to someone else who could help me the line quickly went dead. Today was my lucky day as I called and once again was told that Elaine was not available, and that the manager of that department was also Elaine. So, I asked to speak with the General Manager and low and behold he was unavailable. However, I got lucky as the operator informed me that Fran had just returned from lunch and was available and I was put through to her extension and she answered the phone. She was very professional and polite and explained to me what the issue was that they were having and that she hopes to have it resolved in three weeks or less. That conversation took less than 5 minutes and I now know what and when to expect with regards to the registration and the title. Unfortunately for me Fran is moving to another one of their dealerships and will no longer be handling my registration and title process. So, I guess the lesson here is that you can communicate with your customers, or you can lose them. As I will never purchase another vehicle from any of their dealerships and will be the first to direct anyone away from purchasing a vehicle from them as well. More
