I have a hard time trusting car dealerships for routine maintenance as they always find something else, and something else and something else . . . that needs to be done. Sometimes that’s good, so the own maintenance as they always find something else, and something else and something else . . . that needs to be done. Sometimes that’s good, so the owner can plan out expensive maintenance- which apparently is often. Take car in for free tire rotation and leave having spent $200+ along with a list of $1,500+ of additional work needed. This is with a routinely maintained vehicle. $800+ for spark plugs!?! Yikes! But I feel like I am treated well at Heiser. Tom is pleasant. It would be nice to know “just how dirty was the throttle body” that I just had cleaned after previously having had it cleaned 30,000 miles prior? Could I have gone another 20,000 miles? Maybe I would’ve done the brakes if I skipped the throttle body? How do we ever know these things? What we learn is that nothing is free. More
