If I could give this dealership a negative star review I would. Let's begin with I went in sept 13th looking for a used car with lower miles that wouldn't drain my entire savings. I was directed to the sales rep Anwar (beware he is the biggest scam and liar). I had looked at a few cars, test drove a handful. We sit down to discuss numbers with this "genius", I am VERY clear on what my max per month cost can be. This man came back well over what I had expressed is my max. He then walks away to go talk to his "finance guy Carl" (another jerk who thinks because there's female we are supposed to be clueless). Anwar comes back with another number saying this is the best that I will get anywhere for a car loan (almost 7.9% interest). Not knowing I had already looked into my banks offers and saw I could get a better deal with them (less then 5% interest). We are rushed to do paperwork, told that we can read it in detail later. I had expressed my concerns which were brushed off by both Anwar and Carl. I asked if they were going to clean the vehicle of purchase since the inside was a mess, dirt all over, sticky stuff in cup holders, leaves and grass all over floors, dead bugs on dash. The vehicle is a 2022 Honda CRV Touring, cost over 30k. The least these jerks could do is clean it. Anwar goes over how they have a team who does just detailing and how the car will look brand new when I come on monday to pick it up (sept 15th). He stated since the car has been sitting the battery had to be jumped, so to save me the headache later on he would have the shop replace the battery. Carl was so set on selling me "the wrap protection" for an additional couple thousand. He also stated how the dealership charges a TLP which is mandatory to pay, even though I showed him for the state of NJ it is NOT mandatory but is a way dealerships make more money. I picked my vehicle up, saw it was NOT cleaned and Carl who had so much to say when trying to make a buck, couldn't even look at me. Not even a week later, I am back at this slum hole for service. The battery was re charged, yet again. I meet with the next xxxxxxx, the "manager Amir". He issues me a check for a few hundred to cover the cost of cleaning since his staff didn't clean the car and issued a check to refund me the TLP which he knew was NOT mandatory. Being ripped off is putting it nicely. Here it is 2 months into having this vehicle, the car won't start unless being jumped. I call three times, leaving messages each time. Amir finally calls back. Tells me they don't replace batteries that pass their "inspection", you know the one that they half xxx did over the summer according to the paperwork they gave me. So here I am, yet again, paying for stuff that this dealership told me they would fix. If you're looking to get ripped off by the thousands, come here. If you're looking to get treated like crap and lied to over and over and be told "I don't know why Anwar said that he's only a sales rep" go to this place. I will also be posting this review on all other platforms, as well as contacting corporate so they know how these scam artists are ruining the Honda name and car buying experience. I had such a wonderful experience at Honda of Freehold thanks to Carl (Business Manager) and Saad (Sales Associate)! After speaking with over 30 dealerships in New Jersey that were unwilling to help me ge thanks to Carl (Business Manager) and Saad (Sales Associate)! After speaking with over 30 dealerships in New Jersey that were unwilling to help me get out of my lease for a reasonable price, Carl and Saad stepped in and truly went above and beyond. They helped me get as close as possible to my budget while getting into a brand new EV. Their kindness, compassion, and patience made the entire process stress free and enjoyable. Saad was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything clearly so I could make the best decision. Tom was patient and understanding regarding the issue with vehicle. He kept me updated regularly. Service techs persevered and attempted to remedy the problem. My only wish is that they washed vehicle after service like other facilities do. More
