Jeremy was very offensive, fed us a constant stream of xx, offered us 1/3 the trade in value of out car, and jacked up the price of the purchase vehicle with add ons. You know, sometimes, you can be a salesperson for too long. You know, when you have heard just about all of the questions and comments before and have an answer for just about all of them. You have all t long. You know, when you have heard just about all of the questions and comments before and have an answer for just about all of them. You have all the answers down so well, and you can spit them out without even thinking about it. You can even appear to be happy and nice when answering them. This works great until an issue, comment or question arises that does not fit into the routine and is not rehearsed and honed over years of practice. This is when the real character of the person comes out. You can always tell how this is going to play out when the salesperson does not listen to you but wants to move onto the next phase of the conversation or sale. Do this, to get to that... then this to get to that, etc... I came to them about an issue that happened that didn't fit into that routine, and then it was time for him to push back and regain control of the conversation. In my case, in the end, he actually just walked away from me and left me standing there on the showroom floor. I had never had this happen before, anywhere, ever. It was quite the spectacle. It has at least made for great storytelling with family and friends at get-togethers when they asked about the car. Going into detail about what exactly happened is pointless. In the end, it was the overall experience that just could have been so much better. The funny thing is that it could have been easily avoided if they had simply taken 2 minutes to take a quick look, the problem could have been resolved, and I would have been happy. Unfortunately, Batman had other plans that day. Oh well, life moves on. More
