They are always pleasant and very professional and attend to my needs for my vehicle to a tee. Are used to go to another GMC dealer here in Honolulu but after a terrible experience with them I switch to Hono to my needs for my vehicle to a tee. earlier mentioned we wanted to specifically see the 21 buick encore(not the "gx"). request made thru tina a. and unknown sales floor person taking my call. to our surprise on arrival at the dealership, NO buick encore(not the "gx"). request made thru tina a. and unknown sales floor person taking my call. to our surprise on arrival at the dealership, NO encores on the lot, except one pre-owned model, which may or may not have had a defective audible backup sensor, as we informed the salesperson on the ride with us. my spouse was extremely disappointed that the model she had chosen from a local magazine ad, was not going to happen anytime soon, as we were informed of the lack of inventory - ie, our bad timing. we did leave the dealership with the gx version of an encore. rennard t. and jon p. did their darndest to convince us this was not a " bait/switch" transaction! it remains to be seen if a 3 cylinder variant will out perform a 4 cylinder "almost" dream vehicle! finance's teresa k. covered the closing paperwork very well. Would avoid the service department at all costs. Took my Buick here because I’ve had to buy 5 batteries in four years for this car and these people are supposed to be the experts. Was told there’s nothing w Buick here because I’ve had to buy 5 batteries in four years for this car and these people are supposed to be the experts. Was told there’s nothing wrong with my car, battery just tested bad. But it’s my fault because I don’t drive my car enough- my car is driven each day. But not enough miles, according to the service manager. I did my research including going to the battery manufacturer’s website which states the car only needs to be idled for 5 minutes per WEEK to maintain a charge. Service manager keeps repeating that I don’t drive the car enough- they’ve spoken to GM energizers regarding this issue. Okay, how many miles per year do I need to drive the car then according to GM? “Well, they don’t give us an exact number.” So I’m not driving my car enough (supposedly) but you can’t tell me how much I should be driving it? Got it. It was one excuse after another which ultimately ended with service manager telling me “it could be something our diagnostics isn’t picking up. You’re welcome to take it somewhere else and get a second opinion. I guess you just gotta decide whether you wanna keep the car or not.” This took the cake. The service manager actually said this to my face. I guess they have no integrity or pride in their work and clearly did not intend to find what’s actually wrong with my car. Still at square one. More
