Due to a problem with a printer upon my return visit, I was introduced to each department, Service, Parts, Cashier and welcomed to the Hyundai family. Joey also took the time to answer my questions about my new car and explain in detail the workings of the different features. I would recommend your dealership and Joey Cassata to anyone who is looking for a vehicle. As I told all of my friends, I have never gotten a hug from a car salesman before. Unfortunately, once we were down there they did not have the car that they emailed us the price quote on an hour or so earlier and of course the other cars they had on the lot were around $1,000 more than the one we drove down there for. They low balled us on our trade and made us feel like uninformed buyers. I did my research and knew what I should be paying and what I should receive for my trade. Needless to say we left that dealership and on our way home stopped by Hyundai of St Augustine to see what they had to offer. This was BY FAR the BEST decision that we had made that day. After wasting 6 hours of my time driving and another hour in the dealership "haggling" we arrived at Hyundai of St Augustine and were warmly greeted by Joey Cassata and the St Augustine team of employees. We got right down to business and drove the USED Sonata that they had advertised, but I knew that we would be settling. I inquired about what kind of deal they could work on a NEW Sonata and within minutes was handed a print out with the details of what they had to offer. The numbers that they came up with on the NEW Sonata were better than what the other dealership was trying to get me in to a USED Sonata for. I knew right then that we should have started at Hyundai of St Augustine and will definitely keep this in mind next time the next time we purchase a Hyundai. Joey Cassata and Jimmy Feliciano were AWESOME!!!! They took all of the stress out of the car buying experience and I NEVER had worries about whether or not we were getting a GREAT deal. I have personally swallowed several times a bitter pill of my previous vulnerabilities to settling for a car purchase that I began to resent not long after I drove the car off the the lot, due to unavoidable high pressure sales, exorbitant loan interest rates, and an immediate upside down depreciation. I finally hit the jackpot at Hyundai of St. Augustine! I can save you a lot of headaches, and wasted time if you read about the phenomenal almost unheard of experience at Hyundai of St. Augustine! Don't just settle for the frustrated car buying experience or for a car that you do not like or is not worth the cost even before you drive it off the lot. A car that takes a nose-dive in value before the ink dries on your contract and your first loan payment! So, if you want a car buying experience that scores huge marks in customer service, friendliness, professionalism, and purchase price, your only stop needs and should be Hyundai of St. Augustine, Florida, regardless of where you live in the state, and even out of state! They deliver! First of all, I put in hours of Internet research to determine which cars were getting the best objective, non-biased consumer reviews in terms of dependability, realiability, stability, gas milage, safety, insurance, warranty, appreciation value, and how to maximize my savings using my various power buying memberships such as Sam's Club, AAA, NEA, and etc. My research consistently produced Hyundai cars. I decided to negotiate what I found to be a fair purchase price for either a 2011 or 2012 Hyundai Elantra. Armed and empowered with the price that I wanted to pay for the car, I confidently went to several Hyundai dealers to find my car. I was determined to stick with my mission to negotiate the price of the car only, not financing. I made sure that I didn't have a sense of urgency, and that I had plenty of patience. I didn't go to the car lots hungry, tired or in a hurry! I made short work of aggressive, self-serving salesmen at dealerships in Ocala, Orlando, New Port Richie, and Tampa that asked too many questions, who would not stick to price negotiation, and who wanted to steer me to other cars because they didn't have the inventory of the car that I wanted. The 2011 Elantras (new design) were difficult to find, and the 2012 Elantras were almost non-existent, except for a few top of the line models with leather, GPS navigation, etc. Apparently Hyundai did not foresee the incredible sales of this sleek, smooth, cost-saving, well-appointed, solidly built model! Dealers have been scrambling for inventory while Hyundai increases the production of the 2012 Hyundai Elantra! I negotiated a truly fair price,far below the thousands of dealer add-ons at my local Hyundai dealer, dollars out-the-door, including a new tag, sales tax, and title, for a black with gray interior 2012 Hyndai Elantra, A/T, with a Preferred Package, which includes 16 in. alloy wheels, fog lights, blue tooth technology, XM radio, etc. This car is a very sporty style with a tight, controllable steering, ample leg room and trunk space, and great gas mileage! You and your car will get lots of admiring looks! This car makes a definitive statement that I like superior style, substance, and savings! When I called Mr. David Bunn at Hyundai of St. Augustine, and asked him if he could meet the price with this car, he basically met it on the first OTD price! It shocked me, so I wasted no time in accepting the offer, and contacting my Florida Credit Union! I have never visited the dealership! I negotiated everything on the phone and via email! Once I got the price commitment, I asked for the purchase order to be FAXED to my credit union, Florida Credit Union, Ocala, Florida, for pre-approval! I got the VIN number of the vehicle, and secured the insurance. Obviously, I was confident! I had a previously planned a weeks vacation out-of-state, and really had counted on having my vehicle. Mr. Andrew Difeo, the Owner/General Manager of Hyundai of St. Augustine, while Mr. Bunn was on his vacation, communicated with me directly, and timely, daily, including Sunday, and aarranged for the delivery to my front door in Ocala, Florida, which is more than two hours away, for a beautiful 2011 Hyundai Sonata, clean, and with a full tank of gas! The only thing he requested was a copy of my driver's license, insurance binder, and credit union pre-approval letter. They had never met me, nor had they received one red cent! Without a doubt, they were confident, and trusting in me as well! While on vacation, I received updates, and finally a notice that my car had arrived, and was being inventoried, and prepared for delivery to me! That's exactly what they did! On Monday, August 1, 2011, Mr. David Bunn himself, delivered my 2012 Hyundai Elantra, with that unique new car smell,less than 150 miles, and a full tank of gas, to me at the Florida Credit Union, in Ocala, Florida! I presented the payment of my car, and received two remote keys, installation of my car mats, cargo net, and an overview of how to set up the clock, blue tooth, and radio controls. Mr. Bunn picked up the 2011 Hyundai Sonata, clean and with a full tank of gas! I feel very good about my purchase! I am proud to be part of the Hyundai of St. Augustine, Florida family! I know that they have great, old-fashioned, no-hassel, honest to goodness customer care before, during, and after the sale! They will arrange, free of charge, a follow-up inspection and my first oil change! I am already thinking about my guaranteed trade-in value for my next new Hyundai in a few years! I don't think that I am just a lucky person, but because of negative car buying experiences through the years that have costs me thousands in fees, interests, etc. I decided to work for myself, and not the dealer! I was committed to making sure that I would never again pay more for a car, receive aggressive, unreliable customer service, disrespect for me as a customer and my hard-earned dollars. Like a new love who erases all the unpleasant memories of too many bad relationships, Hyundai of St. Augustine, the only true, number one dealer in Florida, restored my faith in the excitement, and fun in buying a car, and that good, caring honest car dealers, and salesmen really do exist! Hyundai of St.Augustine completely blew us away. This is the first time I had bought a car on my own so I was relatively hesitant at the begining of my search. We checked out and called all of the dealerships in the Jacksonville area and even up into Georgia. I wish we had just started with the dealerhsip in St. Augustine... The first time I called Paul Smathers answered the line and was very helpful right from the start. HE explained that even though they didn't have any on the lot (because they were selling so fast) he was able to tell me when they expected their next shipment. Rather than blowing my off with a standard answer he helped me see if the specific options I was looking for were going to be there. Once we figured out that there was one that matched what we were looking for Paul worked with us at our pace until we were sure it was exactly what we wanted. He kept in contact with me the whole time I was waiting for my car to be delivered. To my surprise it even got there about a week and a half early! Paul also helped me with finding a better financing option than what I found on my own, which was great. Since we picked up there car, he has called and emailed to make sure that we are completely satisfied. I didn't expect that level of service by any means, I assumed once I had signed that would be the end of it. All in all we are totally satisfied with the service and the car we got from Paul Smathers and Hyundai of St. Augustine. Its pretty safe to say we are on our way to being Hyundai people from now on and we will most certainly be recommending them to our family and friends. More
