I am just blown away by the great customer service I received from Linda Freeman at Dick Honda. I locked myself out of my car (ugh), so the first thing I did is call Dick Ide to see if I had a lock out received from Linda Freeman at Dick Honda. I locked myself out of my car (ugh), so the first thing I did is call Dick Ide to see if I had a lock out service with my extended warrenty. I talked to Linda in the service department and I was told I did not have that type of service on my warrenty. I was told that I could get a key replacement from the service department, but I would need to get a ride out to Dick Ide. I had no way of getting out to the dealership at that time. Linda offered to get the key cut and she met me at my car. That is over and above service. I can't thank her enough! Cindy Latiuk More
I have an '04 Odyssey and a '99 Subaru Outback, neither bought from Dick Ide. I have been coming to them for 6 years and have only had excellent service every time for both cars. They change my oil for free on the Honda, and always check the fluids, pressures and consumable parts for wear, and give me a full report when they're done. They are fast and on time, and always polite and friendly. I've had inspections done there and they've never "nickle & dimed" me to pass. Their prices are reasonable, and they look to find warranty coverage for any service first. I would definitely recommend them! More

I was told it was certified and although I thought the price was too high I wanted a dependable car. Well I have had nothing but problems with my brakes. After having the car six months having issues with my brakes after I "serviced" them a month before. I brought my car in and received a phone call that I needed rotors and pads and it was going to cost me close to $500. I was shocked that they would charge me and had an argument with Linda. I ended up getting a one-time courtesy after she spoke with the manager. She accused me of aggressive driving and that's why my brakes were wearing out so fast. Well it turns out that the master brake cylinder was bad and I had been driving the car Dangerously after going there 3 times. Well now I have more problems with the brakes and I go in and of course I get Linda again and she starts off with how much its going to cost to have them even look at it, mind you I have the service rewards program. Well leaving close to hundred dollars later, they "unfroze my brakes", rotated my tires and replaced a vanity light. I still have problems with my brakes!! I am sick of hearing "get a real car" or "your brakes again!” I also had Linda waving a booklet in front of my face saying I’m not serving my brakes regularly and oh yeah you bought this car USED from us, and mind you I could of gotten a new Chevy Cobalt cheaper than this car. I still have to go back because they sold me the car with a heated seat problem and it was "fixed" already once. I spend too much of my time having to keep going back out to Penfield. And Linda let me know they were charging my Honda care $115.00 to even look at the seat! And they tired to make me feel like I got a deal leaving with bad brakes yet again...I am so over this car and hopefully I can trade it in when I go to a DIFFERENT Honda dealer! More
Once again, Linda helped me out. The inside passenger door on my 2005 Accord just recently would not open from the inside. The service dept. determined that it was because of the cable being cut by an a door on my 2005 Accord just recently would not open from the inside. The service dept. determined that it was because of the cable being cut by an after-market speaker installation done by a well-known tech store. Linda wrote up the repair being very descriptive about the damage and the dates and providing me with the cut cable as proof. She spoke with the tech store manager on my phone and she gave me extra copies of the repair order and previous service bills for my proof. Thank you for going the extra mile! More
My first visit was just exploratory because my lease was up. I worked with Doug McCarthy and he was great. He answered all of my questions, sometimes two or three times, and I appreciated that he was very patient. I purchased a Honda Civic. One of the things I like is that it fits in my garage and it fits me -- I have a small one-car garage and I'm short, and this car works. I’m also impressed with the fuel efficiency. I live in the area and drive past Dick Ide all the time, and it is a familiar name in the community. A trusted friend who had been in the car business told me that I would be fine at Dick Ide and they would take good care of me, so that was a good endorsement. I appreciate that everything at Dick Ide was very straightforward and very efficient. More

I spoke to Mark McCaffery about a lease turn in. His attitude was horrible! Would not consider taking my Honda in because i didn't lease it from him. Even though the Honda Finance people said that I cou attitude was horrible! Would not consider taking my Honda in because i didn't lease it from him. Even though the Honda Finance people said that I could turn it in at any Honda dealership in Rochester. I work about 100 yards from Dick Ide and was inquiring due to convenience. Mark would have NO PART of taking my car in. Just kept repeating that it was BUSINESS. Then asked if I had it serviced at Ide. When I said no because my daughters mom works in Henrietta, he said THEN I DEFINITELY WON'T TAKE IT IN. I returned my Honda to Garber today. They could not have been nicer and easier to work with. And by the way I did not lease another car either. I was very pleased with my Honda Civic and may purchase another in the very near future. Based on my experience at Garber and Rick Damico, I will definitely go there over Dick Ide. I will NEVER go to Dick Ide as long as Mark McCaffery is part of the sales management team. His attitude and willingness to help a Honda customer is PITIFUL. Nor would I EVER recommend Dick Ide to any friends or family as long as Mark McCaffery is there. More
My experience there from start to finish was wonderful. I felt that they weren’t pushy with me when I came in the door. I have been hearing that it is a very reliable automobile and I like the moon roof in it, and so does my wife! When I took it for a test drive, I loved the way it drove. I needed a car that was going to last me going back and forth to work, and I heard Honda is the way to go, so that’s the way I went. I worked with Melinda and I felt that she was very courteous. She went to work right away, she had the car ready when I got there and I didn’t have to wait. She sent me on my test drive and was ready for me when I got back. I first heard about Dick Ide Honda from Beck on the Breakfast Buzz. I kept hearing him talk about the mileage he had on his vehicle. Looking for longevity, I called my mechanic and he had recommended the Honda Accord. So, I went to an Auburn dealership and I didn’t think I was taken care of properly. I then called the Dick Ide Honda service manager Mark Frey and asked him about a car that I was going to purchase not even from there. I just felt that it was wonderful that he gave me every answer I needed to know. He wasn’t pushy, but then transferred me to a salesperson incase they could help me out. I have to say that I really respect him for that, and how he told me how much he stood behind his vehicles. To me that means a lot. The oil changes for life and the maintenance program are great. If I had bought the car in Auburn, which I had intended at one time, I wouldn’t have gotten any of that, I would have only gotten the Lemon Law. Now I get one year of maintenance, so if something does go wrong with my car I wont have to worry about it. More
Dick Ide was really willing to work with me on my financial objectives and we nailed them! I bought a 2012 Honda Accord. I looked at two different Ford’s, a Focus and something else and I also looked at several Nissans. I love the Accord, it is a lot of car for a little bit of money. It is so classy, I bought a white one with a cream interior and it is a really sharp vehicle! I really liked Joe Allbright, he did a great job for me. My husband even came along and tried to play bad cop to my good cop but Joe did really good and worked hard. He brought a vehicle in all the way from Buffalo. It was all just for me and it made me very happy. That whole 'honing in on my financial objectives' was something that was completely different than other dealership that I went to. More
