Ide Volkswagen is a family owned and operated Volkswagen Dealership in East Rochester, NY. It all started in 1970, when Dick Ide opened his first dealership in Fairport, NY. In 1973 he added the Honda franchise. A few years later, in 1977, he moved both dealerships to Panorama Trail.
In 1984, Dick's oldest son, Mitch Ide, opened Mitch Ide's Ideal Chevy-Olds-Geo in Geneseo, NY. Along with his wife, Anne, they ran the dealership until selling it in 2000.
In 2007 Mitch took on responsibility for the Honda dealership from his father and has been involved in daily operations. When we say family owned and operated, we mean it. Mitch is the owner, Anne is the CFO, their son, Rich is the VP.

David Ruzhansky was an excellent person to work with in the recent difficult times of purchasing a car not made in America. Today I have a brand new, interesting, and unusual car due largely to his efforts, and I am very thankful. Other Ide Volkswagen management team members went out of their way to broker the deal with the corporate VW management, finally getting me the choice of purchasing the car I wanted. This unusual effort on their part is greatly appreciated. I also signed up for Ide Volkswagen's service on greatly enhanced automotive paint treatments. The car looks as good as any professional effort in high-level custom car shows. More

David was a delight to work with. I went in on a Saturday not knowing whether or not I was ready to trade my current car in and upgrade to the Atlas - he worked with me to find a mode I went in on a Saturday not knowing whether or not I was ready to trade my current car in and upgrade to the Atlas - he worked with me to find a model with the features that I was looking for and set me up with a test drive. While I did the test drive he worked some numbers. He provided me with the information I needed and even allowed me the weekend to decide if I was going to make the trade up. He worked with me on his day off to finalize the deal. The finance manager, Beau, was amazing to work with, as well. He did all of the finances remotely so they were ready when I came to pick up my vehicle. Overall the transaction was smooth and easy -- one of the easiest I've ever had at a dealership. I definitely recommend working with Ide VW, and more specifically, David and Beau! Thank you! More

What a great experience - we had been in the market for an electric vehicle since July 2022. Based on a recommendation from a relative, we called Spencer on a whim to see if Ide had an id.4 we could test an electric vehicle since July 2022. Based on a recommendation from a relative, we called Spencer on a whim to see if Ide had an id.4 we could test drive. That afternoon we took a test drive in a VW id.4. Spencer was very professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. We expressed an interest in a vehicle but could not make a commitment at that time. Spencer suggested we make a deposit on the vehicle and once we could commit to get back to him. This was happening during the holidays and we could not get our all of our things in order in a timely fashion. So we told Spencer to put the car back in their "For sale" inventory. After the holidays past Spencer followed up with us at which time we made the commitment to buy a 2023 id.4. Thank you to Spencer and all of the staff at IDE Volkswagen for making this car buying experience a dream! More
