Overall good experience, but no car dealership is perfect The last brand new vehicle I purchased was in 2000, so I was excited to buy a new 2019 Silverado. Technologically, the dealership experience has impr The last brand new vehicle I purchased was in 2000, so I was excited to buy a new 2019 Silverado. Technologically, the dealership experience has improved 1000%, and compared to past experiences with dealership personnel, this was one of the best I had, even with a couple of hiccups. Chris Meyer was a great salesperson, easy to work with and got things done quickly and efficiently. Chris Brinley in finance was also quite pleasant, but I was a bit frustrated that despite my intention to purchase an extended warranty and a GAP policy, when I sat down in his office to go over things he had added about every add-on you can think of. I realize this is a sales tactic, but it's just annoying to have to negotiate all the "extras" off, rather than being convinced to add them. A quality dealership should be able to convincingly upsell options rather than putting the customer in the position of having to negotiate removing them from the deal. Mallory was fantastic in getting all the myChevrolet rewards and OnStar stuff set up and running, and was very efficient at introducing all the fancy buttons on the infotainment system! All of the dealership employee I met were polite and pleasant, and it's clearly an overall very good group of people! The only other "hiccups" along the way was needing to chase down copies of all the paperwork that was supposed to be supplied with the title (very minor and handled lightning fast by Theresa), and the whole NitroFill experience, which I never would have selected to add, but of course it was "already done" by the time I was in the finance office. If you go to NitroFill's website you'll see that the service is supposed to include a set of valve stem caps (that I did eventually receive) and a registration number so you can register on the NitroFill website (which I never received, even after several requests) to receive all of the benefits of a NitroFill purchase, including free top-offs at any NitroFill dealer. Going to Jim Butler for a top-off wouldn't be an issue when I'm local, but I just took a long road trip and another NitroFill dealer couldn't help me because they couldn't find any record of my NitroFill service. It turns out after digging deeper and actually testing the fill in the tires with a Nitrogen Purity tester, that the NitroFill service was never actually done (which I suspected from day one with the widely varying tire pressures the TPMS system was showing). So, I have regular air in my tires (which is already 78% nitrogen), which is what I wanted originally anyway. I would recommend anyone agreeing to the NitroFill service to make sure they let you be present when the service is done, and that you get the valve stem caps installed and registration number that are supposed to be included as part of the service. As I said, a couple of issues, but all-in-all I would still recommend Jim Butler Chevrolet. More
