Peristence and fairness pay off! Some months ago, I stopped by Jim Coleman as my 2016 Avalon Limited was being serviced across the street. I was looking for a smaller car that ideally Some months ago, I stopped by Jim Coleman as my 2016 Avalon Limited was being serviced across the street. I was looking for a smaller car that ideally was a hybrid and loaded with technology. George Devine met me at the door, promised to answer any questions and NOT to try to sell me anything. He more than kept those promises! The deal on an Accord Touring was quite good but I simply wasn't ready. Without any pressure, George kept in touch, asking if I had any questions or if I remained comfortable with the Avalon. Two weeks ago, I decided to look at a small SUV and reviewed everything online I could find comparing the RAV4 and CRV. Both seemed equally responsive to what I wanted so I discussed a trade with both dealerships. It turned out that important features on CRV were not available on the RAV4; Toyota (having sold me the Avalon two years before) was pushier and non-competitive with price and available service warranties! But the real factor was George Devine. His quiet, friendly persistence (NOT PUSHINESS!) and response to all questions led me to purchase a 2019 CRV Touring awd. It has about 200 miles on it. The initial mpg is 30+; the technology is extremely intuitive (helped, undoubtedly by George's tutorial as we sat in the car post-purchase) and the drive and comfort everything we wanted. When it is time to replace wife's car, I expect to begin and probably end process by calling George! His approach to sales is to be helpful, extremely fair and persistent in his wanting the potential customer to know he was available if needed! More
Racist It’s hard to believe that racists like mike are still in positions of authority in this day and age, well then again it’s not so hard to believe. Mike made me feel extremely uncomfortable and not welcome. Mike acted as if a person of color was not permitted to purchase a high end luxury vehicle on his watch. I had to provide unusual amounts of documentation to mike which after speaking to a rep from the bank I found out was not even requested by them as I has excellent credit. Mike required this additional information for his own satisfaction/ racial profiling. When I visited the dealership I made the mistake of wearing a tracksuit,tennis shoes, and a ball cap which in no way should diminish the fact that I am a college educated professional with gainful employment and top tier credit. I’m writing this review in hopes that Mike will learn not to judge a book by its cover and to treat others equally!. I also would encourage my fellow minority’s to avoid doing business with this guy at all costs. More
