Good, friendly service. I took my truck in for an intermittent problem with radio under warranty. My explanation of the problem was assessed, vehicle was checked out and part I took my truck in for an intermittent problem with radio under warranty. My explanation of the problem was assessed, vehicle was checked out and parts ordered. I returned a few days later when touchscreen came in to have it installed. Time will tell if that fully corrects my problem but so far so good. More

Long, slow, terrible 20 hours ago I scheduled some maintenance for today at Jim Ellis GMC at the mall of GA. I took the day off from work to have this done. I knew th 20 hours ago I scheduled some maintenance for today at Jim Ellis GMC at the mall of GA. I took the day off from work to have this done. I knew that I needed an oil change and a tire rotation, and I was pretty sure that I needed new brakes. I was told that they would be needed this visit or the next time I got my oil changed. From start to finish, I was there 5 hours and 14 minutes. That's ridiculous. I was informed towards the beginning of my visit that my car did, in fact, need a new set of brakes, but to my surprise, my car needed new tires, too. I approved the brakes and went and researched my tires. Turns out I purchased them from Costco in February 2018, and I had put on maybe 20,000 miles. I received little communication, but towards the end I was told it would be 60-90 minutes more, which would eventually lead me to the total of over 5 hours there. After getting my car back, I sent an email to Jim Ellis and the GM of the dealership. Roughly 45 minutes later, I received a call from the service manager. More on this in a minute. I left the dealership to go to Costco to have them help me with the tires. They re-measured the tread life and got a different measurement that did NOT require replacing my tires. I'm not sure if my advisor was just trying to make a sale or not, but Costco didn't see the need to replace the tires. Back to the phone call from the service manager, Chris. He called to speak to me about my email and my experience there. He admitted that the whole visit took roughly an hour longer than it should have. He admitted that more should have been communicated to me about the time. Yes, my advisor offered me transportation somewhere, but I had no idea how long things would take. During my call with Chris, he asked me if there was anything that he could do to make it right. I told him no. I said that because it is not my job to ask for something or to come up with some manner to smooth things over. If the dealership valued me as a customer instead of just the money I bring there, then Chris would have found a way to make it right. He didn't. I won't be back as a result. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I know that's where I'll be going. More

Both times at this dealership I must say that it was the best car buying experience I've ever had. In 2016, I was assisted by Sam Karaki. For my new truck, I was assisted by Nelson Carbo. Both gentlemen were fantastic. Nelson worked hard to get the truck we wanted. Sam recognized us from across the parking lot and greeted us. He actually remembered us from 3.5 years ago! I have never met a member of this team who were not top notch. Everyone should come see the Jim Ellis GMC team in Buford. More

After we agreed on the deal , Perry Mallory took over and patiently educated me on all the wonderful bells and whistles that came with the Yukon. Finally , Jasmine Kennedy took over to handle all the financial arrangements . She was faultless in every aspect of this transaction. Before retirement I was the Pres. and CEO of a $ billion company , I would have been elated to have had Jason , Perry, and Jasmine working for me.
