Way too long I was there for 3 hours for an oil change. I need two parts that had to be ordered. Without my knowledge, they tried to find one part at another dea I was there for 3 hours for an oil change. I need two parts that had to be ordered. Without my knowledge, they tried to find one part at another dealer, drove there to find out they didn’t have it either. I was told parts would be there in a few days - have not had any follow up that they arrived. They didn’t wash my car while I was there. Not a big deal except the service advisor asked the valet to wash his car while I was checking in. Totally unprofessional! More

Poor Communication/Car Not Repaired Considering my wife has had such a great experience in the past, I expected much better service from this visit. Our Malibu had a check engine light Considering my wife has had such a great experience in the past, I expected much better service from this visit. Our Malibu had a check engine light issue that could go days better the issue occurring. The first time we took the car to Jim Ellis, the communication was excellent. Since they couldn't find anything wrong with the car, they asked us to bring it back as soon as it happened again. A few days later, the problem returned and we took the car immediately to the dealership. I asked the Service Advisor not to turn off the car without driving it so he could see the problem. After I left, they turned the car off and the problem went away. They had to keep the car for a week before it returned. After the problem returned, they apparently had to work with GM to try to troubleshoot. In total they had the car for over two weeks and were unable to diagnose the issue. They only thing they could offer was to start replacing wire harnesses. During the time they had the car, we had to repetitively follow-up. Since they couldn't repair the car, we took the car back to the dealership we bought it from. They were able to locate a communication from GM that described the issue and provided coverage for the repair. While we have only had the car back for a few days, we hopefully found the issue. I was extremely disappointed with the lack of communication from Jim Ellis while they had my car. I paid a diagnostic fee only to have the car returned and still broken. When I took the car to Rick Hendrick, they identified a potential fix, didn't charge a diagnostic and the repair was covered by GM. More

I went in for an oil change and he mentioned a couple of things I might want to consider to go along with my oil change. I told him no thank you and he did not try to pressure me. When I picked up my car, walked me to my car (which is something no one else had ever done) and made sure my car was washed and vacuumed. I will ask for him again. More
