This was my 3rd Lexus 2d at Lexus of Sarasota. Negotiations on sale price were a little bumpy but worked out in the end. Still waiting for my second key Negotiations on sale price were a little bumpy but worked out in the end. Still waiting for my second key More

I was very impressed with Django and his knowledge of the vehicle. I am a little disappointed with the way the maintenance package cost was glossed over. I probably would not have purchased the whole packa vehicle. I am a little disappointed with the way the maintenance package cost was glossed over. Everyone was nice and polite we got there about 45 min before you closed and we were able to test drive the truck and purchase it the same day before you closed and we were able to test drive the truck and purchase it the same day More
Having purchased dozens of vehicles in my life, including multiple vehicles in Florida as a Michigan resident, this was hands down the most difficult transaction due to mixed messages, poor communication, an multiple vehicles in Florida as a Michigan resident, this was hands down the most difficult transaction due to mixed messages, poor communication, and the inability and/or unwillingness of the dealership to do what it said it would do. Specifically, after telling me that they would not lose my business over the "Advantage" fee, they later indicated that they could not remove the fee. After telling me that they would deliver the vehicle, they claimed that they "legally" couldn't do so. Of course, there is no law prohibiting doing so. They subsequently indicated that they would pick me up and take me to the dealership to close the transaction and deliver the vehicle. They later were unable to do that either. Despite having never asked me how I would be paying for the vehicle, they refused to close the transaction if I was financing through a third-party lender and not through them. They refused to accept a cashier's check if the funds were from a third-party lender or if it required them to place a lien on the title for the benefit of that lender. After I then told them that I would pay via cashier's check or by wire transfer with no lender, I was told "You paying cash has really thrown us for a loop." Imagine that, when paying with certified funds becomes a problem because the dealer is upset they will lose out on the revenue stream from financing. All told, this was an incredibly frustrating transaction. As the current owner of a Lexus and having owned several in the past, this was not the experience I have come to expect from Lexus dealerships. Lexus of Sarasota fell well short of expectations. Based on this interaction, I cannot recommend them to others. I'm confident that Lexus of Sarasota will respond to this review by saying that this was a difficult transaction because I was an out of state buyer. I have purchased enough vehicles in Florida as a Michigan resident to know that there was nothing unique about my cash transaction. Hopefully, if the dealership responds they'll simply apologize by saying that they fell well short of expectations and that they wi review their processes in order to improve in the future. More
This was my first experience buying a Lexus and it was outstanding! David was knowledgeable and not pushy. He was very helpful and supportive throughout the process, listening to my concerns and helping m outstanding! David was knowledgeable and not pushy. He was very helpful and supportive throughout the process, listening to my concerns and helping make things happen. They met my asking price for the car I traded in based off the KBB value. Best car buying experience I've ever had! More
Erin Fellows was wonderful to work with. She never pressured me into buying and made the process very easy. She never pressured me into buying and made the process very easy. More
I made an appt with Django the day before to look at a specific vehicle. When we arrived the Tesla was found to nearly out of battery, had a low tire which I have now found is a pinhole leak (which obviou specific vehicle. When we arrived the Tesla was found to nearly out of battery, had a low tire which I have now found is a pinhole leak (which obviously wasn’t fixed) and Django wasn’t working, even though he personally confirmed the appt with me the day prior, and had also not made a plan for anyone else to meet with us. We ended up dealing with Jon Taylor. As we proceeded we decided to purchase the Tesla, thinking They would repair the tire and charge the battery. We sign paperwork, prepare to leave, only to find that they didn’t detail the car because “we didn’t want to use the little battery you have left” and they claimed there was no leak on the tire (which was a lie). We also had absolutely no help switching the Tesla over to our ownership in the app, since it was still assigned to the old owner, which meant we couldn’t go to a Tesla Supercharger. We live over 100 miles away and 8% battery was going to get us there. Tesla said they normally take 3-5 DAYS to switch a previously owned vehicle over to the new owner, which normally wouldn’t be an issue. It was only an issue because your dealership failed to prepare the vehicle we had made an appt to come purchase over 24 hours in advance. The salesman, sales manager, and financing dept all said they wish they could help and it’s unfortunate Tesla was causing such an issue. Not one of them offered to help us in any way in the event tesla was unable to get us on the road that day. Luckily for us, Tesla has an amazing customer service team that was able to help due to us being stranded at your dealership. A deal that should have taken a couple hours took over 5 hours due to the issue of the battery not being charged. And now I’m having to replace a tire, even though I had your service Dept look at the tire and they assured me there was no leak and that it just hadn’t been properly re inflated after the wheel had been reconditioned. Extremely disappointed with our experience here. More
