I have been a loyal Lexus owner for over 20 years, and my experience with my NJ dealer has always been impeccable. After purchasing a home in Florida, I sold my Lexus in NJ and turned to Lexus of Sarasota to experience with my NJ dealer has always been impeccable. After purchasing a home in Florida, I sold my Lexus in NJ and turned to Lexus of Sarasota to continue my brand loyalty. On Wednesday, I reached an agreement on a Lexus NX. My salesperson assured me a detailed price sheet (showing the agreed-upon price, dealer charges, taxes, and fees) would be sent so I could finalize the deal with a deposit and wire the balance remotely. I never received that paperwork despite multiple requests. In good faith, I sent all of my registration paperwork, arranged insurance, and prepared to pick up the car the following Tuesday. Instead, my salesperson went silent — ignoring repeated follow-ups. Then, two days after we reach agreement, he finally called to inform me that the car had been sold to someone else. Because Lexus of Sarasota failed to follow through — by not sending the price sheet or securing my deposit — the car I had an agreement on was sold out from under me. After decades of loyalty to Lexus, this was the most unprofessional and disappointing experience I have ever encountered. More
