Hi, Jmrdadof3...thank you for taking the time to leave feedback on your experience. I'm glad that you had a great experience with Jake and Kevin, and the first part of your buying experience met your expectations! Regarding the Motor Vehicle fees...as Jake explained when you picked your car up, Motor Vehicle fees are always handled as a separate transaction. The reason for this is that we take care of the Motor Vehicle work for you, and pay the MVC on your behalf. When you pick up your plates (if you're getting new ones) or registration (if you're transferring, like you did), you'll reimburse the charges paid on your behalf, plus an $8.95 processing fee. Most customers agree that $8.95 is well worth hot having to wait in line at an MVC office to register and title your new car yourself. In your case, the state charges were $4.50 for your transfer, $85.00 for the title, and $5.00 for your temporary registration. You were also charged $15.00 for a trade title transfer...this is the charge that you questioned when you were here on Saturday. I checked into this charge when my MV clerk got in this morning, and you are correct...you should not have been charged this $15.00. This was our mistake. Had we completed our conversation on Saturday, we would have come to this conclusion, and your MV bill would have been adjusted accordingly. Unfortunately, our conversation was cut short when you started using profanities to get your point across. When a customer has a question about a bill, I'm happy to look into it, and discuss until everyone is satisfied with the resolution, but in my experience, when expletives are being used and the tone gets aggressive, a resolution is rarely the result...best to agree to disagree and end the conversation, which I respectfully did. Please accept my apologies for our $15.00 mistake, and I hope to see you for service...since you purchased a Certified Pre-Owned Subaru, your first oil & filter service is on us!
