The Nissan vehicle was purchased with the thought that Lokey is Lokey (Nissan, Volkswagen, Subaru). However, the Nissan vehicle was purchased on Volkswagen paperwork. The first service for an oil change r Lokey is Lokey (Nissan, Volkswagen, Subaru). However, the Nissan vehicle was purchased on Volkswagen paperwork. The first service for an oil change resulted in a number of items needing attention. The Nissan service staff was disinterested in solving any problems and said I needed to “take that up with the people next door” (Volkswagen). Volkswagen staff claimed it wasn’t possible for those items to need attention and that the service technician simply looked at the mileage. The Volkswagen sales manager was kind enough to attempt to resolve the issue. During the second visit, the Nissan service manager replaced items for “customer peace of mind” which I still don’t have. Who knows whether the technician who provided the service was correct with his diagnostic or if the initial service documented was completed? Additionally, my vehicle was sitting in the service bay area. When I approached the service staff to inquire what the status was, he pompously sat with his crossed arms and merely stated "I have no idea." He made no attempt to assist me which left me going back to Volkswagen to get assistance from the sales manager. I received a courtesy call from Nissan to discuss the service and stated I was not satisfied due to the problems experienced. The caller stated that Nissan service technicians know more about Nissans than the Volkswagen service department or sales manager and I should not have gone to them. I contacted Nissan Corporate Office and was told that my issue was outside of the scope of Nissan as Lokey is an independent dealership. The Volkswagen sales manager was to contact me weeks ago and has not. It’s been a continuous runaround. The vehicle was purchased from Lokey with the belief that it was a preowned certified vehicle. The salesman believed it was and stated so and the sales manager discussed the 160-plus certification process which justified the additional costs. It is not a certified preowned vehicle because it was sold on Volkswagen paperwork. I’m disappointed and very much regret purchasing the vehicle from Lokey. Rather than experiencing happiness, and feeling content and confident with my vehicle purchase and Lokey service, dealing with Lokey has sullied the experience. More

Before I open a concern with NissanUSA I wanted to bring your personal attention to my service appointment , and the lack of confidence I now have in your technicians at Lokey Nissan. This morning I wen your personal attention to my service appointment , and the lack of confidence I now have in your technicians at Lokey Nissan. This morning I went out to start my 6 month old 2022 Nissan Frontier. Oddly the vehicle was dead. After being prompted to relearn the key fob and a few attempts to jump start the vehicle, it was started. This of course triggering the engine light. I called Lokey to see about my roadside, the woman told me if I could jump it it would be best? and added "If you bring it today we aren't going to get to it right away" okay im more concerned about my new truck being DEAD. Since I have 4000 miles I wanted to drop it off to get it checked, clearly this isn't right, and I had a few other small issues, including a bad switch or bulb in the rear dome light. Flickers or doesn’t work. I arrived and was glad to see Anthony available. He has taken care of me in the past and has always understood my knowledge of cars and of my truck. He wrote my concerns and I left the vehicle for the morning/afternoon. Usually I stay and wait. At around 2 pm I got a call telling me a little update. There were some oddities in what he was telling me. But I figured it would be best to just get back to the dealership. When I arrived I was told, “your battery is fine”, okay odd. Dead in morning but battery okay. Clearly you dont need to be a tech to know that isn't right. I was then told that my dome light in the rear was bad but that I replaced them with aftermarket LED bulbs. I was taken back since I did no such thing laughed and said “no that is a package on the vehicle all LED bulbs”. It actually cost us over $2400 Anthony was just restating what *Dakota Carter had put on my ticket and told me they asked for a bulb from service and they were told it is suppose to be halogen bulbs. Scary getting tech support from the service parts guy considering he is wrong. Since there is a recall on my vehicle and the part was ordered I said we would address this more when I made an appointment for the recall. Not reading over my full ticket at the time, I was pointed to my truck on the side lot and told someone would call me. Inside it was littered with the paper floor mat and bag for my seat crumpled up on the passenger floor. Thanks guys! After getting home I read over the whole ticket. I gotta tell you I am not only shocked, but have ye little faith in Lokey touching my truck for any further issues. Sad since I did have high praise for Lokey in my past Nissan forum posts. The Ticket: The “tech” Dakota Carter writes “ Noticed a lot of aftermarket electronics plugged in and tech not able to get accurate reading”? I have ditch lights .. and a dash cam. Neither are spliced and all done per Nissan tech support. This is a truck right? Then to the rear dome light tech *Dakota Carter writes “Technician can verify the light flickers. Upon inspection LED bulbs installed. Tech tested with Halogen and verified operating as designed . Tech installed the customers aftermarket bulbs and recommends replacing with factory bulbs by nissan. You understand the issue here right…..these are Nissan installed LED bulbs. They came with my truck and the SV premium package. Yet I was told NO IT DIDNT!?!?! I still have my vehicle sticker and the Listing of LED lights on all inside and outside lights. ***Please note the bulbs are listed as replaced but at this time they are still not working with the “aftermarket” stock LED bulbs in them. Note this is not the first time your techs thought Nissan stock parts were aftermarket. On another appointment, I had asked for a price to install the Frontier illuminated sill plates sold by Nissan. I was first told they wouldn’t do it because they were aftermarket. Once I showed them the part number they gave me an outrageous quote of 2 labor hours. Well over what Nissan said the job should take. Clearly if I wasn’t upset about this I would just file the complaint with Nissan, but being a resident of the area for 35 years, Lokey being in my backyard, and I do still believe in the old school ways of building relationships, I was hoping to do that with Lokey Nissan and the service techs. Clearly that is not happening now. So instead I felt I should let all my fellow residence of the area know how you get treated at Lokey Nissan. And how "tech" the tech guys really are. At this time a part has been ordered for my recall, and to be honest, I dont trust what’s going on in the service department. If they don't even know what parts are stock, like light bulbs. And gets tech support from the service parts guy who is not trained and is wrong. And then considers a dash cam and some aftermarket ditch lights an issue, which the NissanUSA engineers when at Lokey got to look over the install and loved it and sent pictures to corporate. How can I expect Lokey Nissan to install something as important as a parking pawl. I do love this truck, issues and all. Just need to trust the hands that go on it as well. Note : This was sent this to the dealership after my appointment, I never got a response. Do yourself a favor, find a more certified dealership to service your vehicle's. My Truck is now at another dealership after more dash lights came on right after leaving this dealership and them telling me my new truck is "fine". I happened to capture it all on video. The issues are now being addressed properly by Nissan and the new dealership I went to with my Truck. This has been emailed to the person leaving comment to everyone "we care about your business"responses. I have heard ZERO back from Lokey Nissan and will be sharing this story and other stories of this dealership with EVERYONE I know. Don't let the incompetence of untrained Techs ruin your vehicle.
