Great out of state car buying experience I had recently found out that the Shelby Mustang GT350 had been discontinued a few months back. I had intended to buy one in a year or two, but reali I had recently found out that the Shelby Mustang GT350 had been discontinued a few months back. I had intended to buy one in a year or two, but realized that I had waited too long. None were available anywhere in my area (Chicagoland, IL), and in fact on autotrader.com, I found a total of 3 for sale in the entire U.S. Two of them were in Las Vegas and the dealer had marked them both up an additional $20K. The other was at LongMcArthur Ford and to my surprise, the car wasn't marked up at all, and in fact may even have been discounted some. I figured that there was no way the car would actually still be available, but emailed them about it anyway. I was surprised to hear that the car was in fact available. Living over 600 miles away though, I was concerned about being able to buy a car that far away, and also that I may not be able to get there in time to before someone else got it. After all, it was only one of three Shelby Mustang GT350's left for sale in the entire U.S., and who can just up and take a 600 mile trip on a moments notice? Not to worry, Shelby Weis (who awesome is that.... the saleswoman's name is Shelby) informed me that the purchase could be handled remotely and I could get the car delivered and that I could put a deposit to ensure no one else bought it first. Bill Rogge handled the sale from there, and it must be said that they have a very efficient system set up at LongMcArthur, where people handle specific aspects of the sale to make the whole process very smooth. Shelby Weis handled the online part of the sale, Bill Rogge handled the overall sale, getting me a fantastic 1.75% finance rate. Paperwork was overnighted to me to sign everything, and they provided a postage-paid return envelope as well to send the paperwork back to them. I had initially intended to pick the car up, but this proved difficult. Not to worry, they'll deliver the car for you! For $750, the car was shipped to me. Considering it would have taken me two days to get the car from there back home again myself, not to mention having to have someone dog-sit for me, someone to drive me there, gas money, and also over 600 miles on my new car, this is a fantastic deal. Not just monetarily, but convenience-wise as well. Darrin Hurd handled the shipping and everything went smoothly and he made sure to keep me updated and also checked to make sure everything went OK with the delivery and that I was happy with the car. All in all, a great experience and these guys clearly know the ropes when it comes to dealing with out of state car buyers. The fact that they didn't mark the price up to gouge the customer when other dealers were doing the same thing recently speaks to the kind of people they are at LongMcArthur. Needless to say it was a Great Day & I drive home in my new Ford. I gave Cole a list of wants & I ended up with the Sporty Car. I can not say enough about my experience that day & after I left. Very friendly place to buy a car I have been car shopping and trying to find out that would fix with my budgeting. BEST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER! I called Darin Lee to talk about a possible purchase of a new car. I was very unsure of my qualifications because of past negative credit issues. Darin asked me a few questions, said he would "work on it for me" and get back to me. He, in fact called me a couple more times to ask a couple more questions then on the third phone call he let me know that he had been able to work out a good deal for me :) Darin Lee (along with Lee in finance) was FABULOUS to work with. He was informative, considerate of my time and has a very pleasant personality. He made this car buying experience excellent! I feel like I got the most for my trade as well as a good deal on my new car purchase. You have to understand, I am one of those people that HATES my time to be wasted. He is one of the most personable and kind people we've come across, let alone for a car sales person. Not once did we get the impression that Shawn was judging us, or becoming frustrated with the negotiations. In fact, he had a great sense of humor throughout and he even went and picked lunch up for us while we were waiting to close the deal. You can't go to any car dealer anymore and not spend hours haggling through the complex process of the sales manager, but Shawn made that process pretty smooth. I'm happy to say we are once again long-term customers of Long McArthur and Shawn. More

We are Ford people and several of our children have done business with Long McArthur and our oldest son found a Ford Explorer they had. He contacted Dan Penner and between the two of them we came to an agreement. We made the trip to Salina and found everyone at the dealership to be very courteous and helpful. Dan was very professional and quite pleasant to deal with. We completed the deal in a timely manner and were on our way. He has an awesome personality and was very kind and courteous. We look forward to working with him again in the future if we are needing another vehicle. More
