Sergey was excellent— extremely knowledgeable, speedy communication, friendly, polite— my idea of the ideal car salesperson. He was also wearing a well-fitting mask at all times. Unfortunately, althou communication, friendly, polite— my idea of the ideal car salesperson. He was also wearing a well-fitting mask at all times. Unfortunately, although huge signs about masks (during the PANDEMIC) were everywhere, I saw at least 6 other employees NOT wearing them, or dangling them from their fingers, or under the nose, or under the chin, or clearly hating them but wearing them in such a way that the giant gaps made it obvious that anything could not just get out, but get IN. The worst and most infuriating instance was the glass-walled room labeled “Sales managers,” in which two women and two men sat with masks OFF, right next to a “wear masks” sign! Incredible. One woman caught my gaze and sheepishly pulled hers up. One of the men clearly saw me watching him, and left his on his desk. I found this shocking. It’s strange to have an experience where you rate the salesperson an A+, but the dealership a D, yet that’s what these other employees made my experience. At this point, I would advise any friend to go to Sergey for their next car, but not until the pandemic is well past, as numerous employees are flouting the mask mandate, and don’t give a xxxx who sees it! If I were the management at Luther Hopkins Honda, I’d be in a panic about that, but clearly those “sales managers” didn’t care about the impression they were making on customers who are making a significant and emotional financial decision...and then talking about it to all their friends, family and colleagues. Too bad! More
