Hostage Situation I drove in from San Francisco on May 09, 2020 at around ~1:40pm to test drive a 2017 Toyota 86 860 Special Edition Manual. This was the worst experien I drove in from San Francisco on May 09, 2020 at around ~1:40pm to test drive a 2017 Toyota 86 860 Special Edition Manual. This was the worst experience in my life. I had discussed earlier that I am there for a vehicle inspection and initial offer but they were really desperate to sell the vehicle. Not only did they try to up sell a vehicle with ~55k miles, they also try to push their own high interest rate financing option on you. The price online vs the price in person there was a $5000 difference in xxxxxxxx hidden fees, "taxes" and other charges. I was already pre-approved for a 3% loan, yet they did a hard pull on my credit anyways to try to trick me into a high monthly payment high down payment option with a 5% interest rate. To get them to back them down I rescinded my 4k cash offer to 0, yet they kept pushing for it with even worse offers. Also early on they took the keys to my trade-in vehicle (that I drove into the dealership with along with the title) for "inspection" and essentially held me hostage as they waste my time from 2pm to 4:45pm, making one pathetic offer after the other. Things were so bad that I had to go out to buy my own bottle of water as they don't even have the common courtesy of offering a glass of water to the customer they have held hostage, mind you I brought it up multiple times that I haven't had lunch during this whole ordeal (since I left from San Francisco at 11am). When I stood up and got restless to the point of asking for keys and title back the floor manager started to being extremely rude to me and by making passive aggressive remarks. I will not recommend this dealership to anyone. They ruin credit score, try to scam you and hold you hostage. More
